looked great today. Can't wait to see him and Gerrard link up.

Fantastic today.  I thought his defensive ability really showed today.  His passing was good as usual, and overall I was impressed.  What's most important is that our CM partnership outdid everything their midfield could put together.  Our fullbacks were able to handle their wingers just fine, but whenever they would tuck into the middle Lucas and Adam (especially Lucas) could stop everything Nasri, Silva, Toure and Milner could put together.  We knew that we had to stop Silva today, and we did.

Our two best players today had to be Lucas and Adam.

Did well today again. 2 games in a row now if anyone is counting. He played a different role with Henderson starting though and its exactly the sort of role he should be playing eek in week out imo. As a part of a midfield 3 and given the freedom to roam higher up the pitch. He picked his positions well and what impressed me the most was his transition of play on the counter attack. Its a shame Maxi wasnt in the side because imo his movement would have given Adam better options higher up the pitch.

Regardless, good display and hopefully he carries his good form to the upcoming fixtures.

What i have noticed is he is now getting in amongst the opposition more.

Hassling for tackles, tracking players ans generally being annoying. This puts a lot of pressure ans forces mistakes. Played well today, wish his distribution on his right foot needs to be quicker as he often pauses to get the ball on his left sometimes losing a bit of momentum.

Charlies a very good footballer and we got terrific value with him. Hes not a tough tackler but can nick a ball, hes quick to pinch it, and then looks to pass forward, not back or side ways. His game is playing and running toward goal at all times. We paid what, 6m, at this point hes worth minimum double that surely. Top player, just not a media fave or headline maker. Down to earth lad just enjoying his football.

The best thing about him for me is he never hides. He's always willing to take responsibility.

This.

Still, would like to see him influence the attacking phase of our games a little more.

He's showing more consistency so hat off to the guy however he needs to work on his speed and general fitness. He's clearly best part of a stone overweight and slower than needed at this level of footy.  I on the otherhand, am obviously as fit as a butcher's dog and could easily slip into the role....

Aldo said on the Radio City phone in on the way home from the match yesterday that we thinks he has lost a few pounds.

Thought it was his best game for us yesterday.

The defensive side of his game has come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks. I mean people used to moan that we lacked creativity when we had Lucas/Mascherano in the middle of the park and yet when Adam came in and gave us that extra creativity people were still moaning that he didn't give us enough defensively. You can't have it both ways.

If you look at it he's probably beeen directly or indirectly involved in the majority of our goals. Scored a couple, had a couple of shots deflected in, set up a couple from set pieces, provided a beautiful pass for Johnson's goal last week and also provided the run for the free kick from which we scored against united.

Yesterday's game highlighted a lot of my fears of Adam

Wasteful on the ball
Slow
Immobile
Awful in the tackle
Desicion making was appalling

The one thing he was highly touted about was his set piece delivery and that is currently shocking .

He had a very good run of really playing well and i was close to eating humble pie until yesterday and that was against a very poor midfield.

He is very lucky Gerrard and Lucas arent available or he would be sitting on the bench - we need lots more for him and hope sunday was a one off .

You can add a bunch of stupid tackles near the box....

Adam ,even on his good days for us wasn't GOOD ,he was ok for spurts and  then dissolved back to mediocrity. He has yet to complete one whole game where you can describe his performance as good.

I really don't understand his inability to rise up to last year displays ,it's not as if we are the most quickest of teams in the PL ,and yet he struggles so much. I would say he is still fighting to find his place and comfort zone in the team ,similair to Hendo and Downing.
