:)  true.. the silence will take place on Saturday...

... meanwhile the slaughter continues... on both sides

remember zbabe the slaughter is perpetrated by certain freeloaders who have no respect for life whatsoever.

i agree war does inevitably slaughter the innocent, but war has always done that. however, im not condoning war at all, and thats from me who was there in the gulf in 1991.
Its a difficult one to justify, but equally its difficult to find a solution. I'm glad i'm not a politician

.. I think it is fitting that there will be a minute's silence against Charlton.. in a Premiership match.. Mr Bigley was English and he's death is more closely felt at home .. here in England..

I don't think we can expect UEFA to hold such silences, when Europe is divided on the issue and countless people associated with other European Club sides have died as a result of wars and invasions at a point in time... what would Croat and Serb club sides have done.. turned out for the silences.. forget the match...

.. The best tribute will be the home tribute... no chance for politics with rival fans potentially booing .... and so on...

I think UEFA want to be seen to be all things to all men. They wont get involved incase it upsets somebody else. What we do within our own league is our choice. UEFA are involved with soccer worldwide and I guess they try and be impartial to any cause or conflict. Seems very harsh to me but maybe a reason why they wont let it go ahead.

I think people should be allowed to mourn how they want without interference from UEFA.
Bribery in football helps oil the wheels, the managers take it and the fans pay for it!

Doesnt excuse it but wouldnt mind knowing

I think that the reason they refused to do this has to do something with the fact that Mr.Bigley was killed by muslim extremists in Iraq.

May Mr.Bigley rest in peace.

The whole point is he's from Liverpool. Or did you miss that A.B? ???

No I did miss that[/sarcasm]. What UEFA did was wrong however the reason to their decision we do not know but I think that it had something to do with the fact that Mr.Bigley was killed in Iraq by muslim extremists.
