I think that the reason they refused to do this has to do something with the fact that Mr.Bigley was killed by muslim extremists in Iraq.
May Mr.Bigley rest in peace.

A minute's silence will be held in memory of Ken Bigley before Liverpool's Premiership match against Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Liverpool Football Club requested for the silence to be held before Tuesday's Champions League game with Deportivo La Coruna but UEFA said that would not be possible.
Liverpool FC's Head of Press Ian Cotton said: "As a consequence of the decision by UEFA we will be observing the minute's silence in honour of Ken Bigley before our match with Charlton Athletic on Saturday."
What is the problem with the idiots that run UEFA and for that matter FIFA. A man close to the hearts of many Liverpudlians, is cruelly taken away and UEFA tell us we must wait for the minutes silence to remember him. Had this been a ?UEFA representative who died of natural causes, I be every Champions League game would have been preceeded by a tribute.
These idiots at the governing bodies really get on my t1ts some times.
