Two points wouldn't be too bad away from home - 4 would be great -6 would be wonderful

One game at a time folks.
Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

Looked great, didnt have any nerves, wasnt afraid to make clever runs into space. Looks like a very hard player for defenders to pick up.

He actually reminded me a lot of Aquilani :D

Why,did he fall over and snap?, hold on he was nothing lke Aquilani, Meireles played 15 minutes without being injured :)

Already looks top notch as predicted, althogh ive never seen him play the attacking midfield role, seemed very clever though, plus he can pass and control it without it bouncing off his boot and going for a throwing, winner in my eyes that :)

I was impressed with the 15 minute cameo of Raul. He looked very keen to impress, always wanting the ball, good awareness before recieving and when recieving the ball, got into some good positions in the third of the pitch, good movement and some nice little passes.

Funnily enough when Meireles came on both Gerrard and Nando seemed to up their game. Hopefully the next game he starts.

Good signs from the Portuguese international.

Not surprising Torres and Gerrard upped their game whem Meireles came on. They probably wonder why Lucas is even on the same pitch as them. How many times has he ever provided a quality through ball to either of them that creates a threat to the oppostion?

A nice little cameo today (why not sooner, though?) but with a significant question mark raised.  It appeared to me that, when he came on, he took up Stevie's spot "in the hole" and Gerrard slid in next to Poulsen in the centre of midfield.  I think most of us expected him to partner Poulsen eventually, with Gerrard in support of Torres.  Perhaps that's not the plan after all.  Thoughts?

I think it was to do with easing him in Bob - it was a very combative midfield we were facing so just give him a taster of the prem in a less pressure position - can see him definatly playing in cm and hopefully alongside Gerrard .

We desperately need him in midfield, it's becoming increasingly frustrating to see us line up with Lucas and Poulson.

I like...

He can bring the ball forward, has good vision and creativity and would probably fit well alongside Poulsen... Box-to-box sort of guy who can also pass it around comfortably is exactly what we need especially if we're going to play that direct style that Roy seems to favor..

Even in his 15 minute cameo yesterday you could see that his movement was excellent. I'm still genuinely baffled why he didn't start if he was fully fit.
