Don't get me wrong it's great to be passionate like you obviously are but lets be honest, you don't half go over the top sometimes.

This is a forum, anyone can have a say, some will agree, others won't. When you are clearly wrong people will be quick to point it out to ya.

I havent called anyone a blind arrogant kunt atall, if some of our fans think its all going to go away and work itself out well its not going to.

The lads on RAWK have been doing a great job setting up campaigns, making the new shirt, and doing a hell of a lot of things to get rid of the owners, do you think they are doing it for fun? They arnt getting paid for all their hard work, they are doing it for a reason.

Do you think me and others want to feel the way we do?
If you do you are totally wrong, Id love to feel excitement, passion and to look forward to our games again but at the moment and whilst them two are still here I cant and wont enjoy Liverpool until they are gone.

But people need to stop throwing cheap digs in and smileys about other fans worries and concerns about the club, why other liverpool fans would do this against fellow reds makes a mockery out of "The best fans in the world" motto that certain fans like to use.

There was a time all Liverpool fans stuck together through thick and thin, not anymore my friend not anymore............
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

i'll be happy to see Lucas leave though.

I think people were questioning whether the money would be made available for new signings, which isn't unreasonable - I don't think many were guarenteeing it wouldn't Maypax. Hopefully the rest of the money generated will be used to part-fund a LB and striker.

i guess some people have a different approach to it. personally ive always taken a "wait and see" approach instead of going into panic mode or like Aussie Style mentioned above, some posters do go over the top sometimes. and the tone they used is filled with certainty.

its true that this signing doesnt make our debts disappear but when you have the following,

1) the club in debt
2) media spinning all kinds of stories about our players leaving
3) richer clubs unsettling our players then being hypocritical when their own are unsettled (just read Barce are taking legal action against Ibra's agent)
4) last season being mediocre and with the lack of quality, history might repeat itself...etc...

..the last thing needed is the fans themselves going all gloomy and having knee jerk reactions in such troubled times where even a new signing is greeted with such relief.

Watch 'n wait is probably a sensible policy in terms or takeovers and transfers, the amount of misinformation about is ridiculous. There does seem to be a lot to be gloomy about, however, I am going to lift myself out of it and only discuss football/ positive things for a while.

from what i can see, apparently personal terms have been agreed and completion is subject to a medical which will take place this weekend. i have my fingers crossed about this one as miereles is a quality player, just the kind of quality player we all hoped we would be signing. if anyone watched much of portugal during the world cup you'll have seen that he was one of their better players. much better than cristiano ronaldo in fact... :D

Latest from the Liverpool Echo

Liverpool FC's Roy Hodgson to get all Javier Mascherano money to spend

ROY HODGSON has been given the green light to reinvest every penny Liverpool will receive from Barcelona for Javier Mascherano on new recruits.

The Liverpool boss is poised for a busy few days in the transfer market, as he looks to bring in a number of fresh faces before the window closes on Tuesday.

And he will be able to conduct his search knowing Liverpool will bank a fee of more than £20m for Mascherano, whose exit from Anfield is expected to be officially confirmed in the next 24 hours.

Hodgson has his eye on a number of targets and the first of a new wave to come through the door is expected to be Fulham left-back Paul Konchesky, a player who Liverpool’s manager knows well.

He is also trying to thrash out a deal to land PSV Eindhoven forward Ola Toivonen but, should that fail to come off, Hodgson has other targets to turn to and he is also keen to bring in another midfielder.

But what Hodgson has the opport-unity to do and what might actually happen are two different things, as he has gone on record recently and said he will not spend big just for the sake of it – if he doesn’t think players are up to scratch, he won’t sign them.

Mascherano, inevitably, will have to be replaced and the Argentine will leave Anfield with a blast from Hodgson ringing in his ears, after he was accused by the manager of acting selfishly to push through his switch to the Nou Camp.

As of yet no mention of securing the possible signature of Meireles ....it seems the Echo has been caught out by the element of surprise like everyone else .............. really hope this isn't just a cruel hoax ??? because it really lifted the descending  clouds when I heard

When i said i was pleased at shipping out Masch and Aqua you accused me of living on another planet because you were convinced we would be given no money for a replacement.

I'm pleased (but not surprised) to see we do indeed live on different planets

A crock and a sulker exchanged for 2 people who have strong fitness (and are physically suited to Prem) records and WANT to play for liverpool, with money left over.  I'll take that.

Great Signing. He played exceptionally well during the WC. But i thought he played left back for portugal during the world cup. Anyway, i remember him flying down the left side up and down and made numerous dangerous run. I thought it was Chelsea who first wanted to sign him after the WC or if it was someone else :D . Anyway, very happy with this and at least we are not stuck with Lucas.
