We need to get Suarez on the ball more. Think I'd like to see Mereiles or Kuyt in the centre with Suarez out where Henderson is. I've always felt he is more dangerous running at defeneces from the flanks.

1-0 at half time. I think Sunderland will be very happy with that scoreline.

Good half, great start to the season.

Good stuff from the whole team. Henderson needs to get a little more involved but no worries really.

Same again second half please

Henderson has been fcking USELESS ! Suarez looking rusty as well..

Bring on Kuyt and Meireles for Henderson and Suarez in the second half..

Ok, halftime, I'll take that for a first half.  Very poor decision to disallow the Carroll goal.  First 35 mins were great.  Last 10 seemed happy to get to halftime with the lead.  Hope to come out firing and get a 2nd goal at the Kop end early and put this one to bed.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Good half overall.  Should probably have gotten a second but we bossed possession, controlled the midfield, showed good movement and some menacing attacks, especially on the counter.  The new lads are bedding in well and we look an organized unit.  A quick goal off the mark in the second half is the first order of business otherwise more of the same please lads. :nod

Good 1st half.  Suarez  :bowdown

Unlucky not to be two or three up.

The amount we controlled the game I would've expected us to be 2 or 3 up but still very encouraging and expect them to come out in the 2nd half going for the jugular

Good first half.  Promising first half.  Ref didn't do us any favors, but we have a well-deserved lead.

Suarez, Downing, Carroll have been absolutely fantastic.
Adam, Lucas, Enrique, Agger, Carra and Reina have done well
Hendo and Flano have been average.

Suarez is just being his crazy self, Downing is very controlling on the wings and creating things left and right, Carroll has completely bossed the Sunderland defense around, won everything in the air, scored a goal that shouldn't have been disallowed, and is getting the sh!te kicked out of him.

Let's carry it on to the second and we will have a great first day.

Can't say anybody has been poor, which is the first in a long time.  I expect Kuyt to get some time for hendo probably around the 60th minute. His energy and effort will drive em mad.
