this is the most important start to a season for a long time. The kings first full season for almost 21 years. I believe he will suprise the big boys and storm outage the blocks, beat sunderland 3-0 then batter arsenal. Top 4 NO PROBLEM

I think we'll probably play something along the lines of:

Reina
Kelly Carra Agger Aurelio
Kuyt Lucas Adam Downing
Carroll Suarez

Expecting something like that. I'm assuming Johnson won't be in the team otherwise he'd be where Kelly is. Hendo could start instead of Kuyt, but Kuyt's always an asset to us, he really is a decent player. If Hendo doesn't start he will definitely get his chance to play... At least 20 minutes or so. Lucas played great and unlike all you guys I thought Adam's had a really decent preseason. Downing's been one of our best players so he seems pretty obvious to me. Carroll's done well and been scoring, and Suarez just wants to play so bad. I think Kenny is gonna ask him if he wants to start come Monday, and tell him he needs to prove he's ready, and he will.

Aurelio has been great so far and Agger's done pretty well. Carra continues to scare the sh!te out of me, so I guess we'll see what happens if we sign another CB.

I'm joking!

Think we will win this one 1-0. Would like to see Suarez starting but not sure if that will happen. Let's hope nothing happens to Carroll on Wednesday night. Sunderland have improved there team a lot over the summer so this will be a tougher game then most people think.

I'm still unsure whether Suarez will start. My initial thought after the Valencia game is

Apologies for the full stops, the iPhone adds them when you type consecutive spaces.

But it is possible that if Suarez is played Kuyt will replace Henderson on the right.

I'm not sure it matters though, I can't see us losing.

I think that Johnson will be fit for this one, too bad that Suarez and Gerrard, our 2 best players won't be able to play.

I don't get you people.. Why do so many people have Meireles in their predicted lineup? You say we won't play Suarez, but we will play Meireles? He hasn't bee playing for weeks with an injury, and he will magically be ready?

I expect Suarez to play, I'm not sure why anybody says he can't because if it was up to him he wouldn't hesitate to say yes.

Meireles WILL NOT START, it will be Lucas and probably Adam, tho it could be Spearing.

I have no idea. Pre-season form is inconclusive and Sunderland beefed up their squad over the summer and will be up for a scrap.

1-1 or something like that.
