Probably best to try get 10M in the summer and fill other holes in the squad.

I think Aquilani is very good player, but I don't see him coming back or getting adapted to the english game, I don't think it suites him to be honest. He has found his level in the Seria A, and he isn't setting the league there alight as well, Juventus has been very inconsistent and sitting in 7th place.

A month back mate the Italian media were literally drooling over his performances ,and I personally feel that his time at Liverpool was coloured mainly on the number of tackles he never made rather than his assist record ....so if that's the case how come posters fail to see the tackles Meireles avoids ....should we base his performances on the possible interventions he so regularly shirks ?
metalhead wrote:We should base his performance on what he gave the team for the fee we paid for him. I agree that Aquilani didn't have so many games last season to put his stamp down to his injuries. However, I felt that Rafa last season that Aquilani wasn't the player he thought he was. Maybe the timing of all of this was wrong. If we bought him when he was injury free, maybe we would have seen it differently. I still rate Aquilani, but I do think Meireles has offered more than him in terms of work rate and energy. If Juventus comes up with the 13m fee that they promised then we should sell and get Charlie Adam. If Juventus aren't interested anymore then Aquilani can be useful.
Oh and Italian Media is the same as the English Media, they drool on every Italian player but not on foreign ones

I really just love to see considering transformation we have already seen in the teamplay since arrival of Kenny, what he could do back in a red shirt

I would love Adam ,but if its going to be a bidding war for his services then I would rather the club not become embroiled ...
if he wants to genuinely become a Liverpool player then all well and good but if he's willing to go to Spurs or the Mancs then his determination to play for us will be somewhat overstated ...
Aquilani on the other hand is still officially a Reds player and would in my opinion be transformed under Kenny's tutelage and in turn improve our midfield ....some of his raking 40 yard passes seemed to slip under the radar when he played for us simply because he didn't get stuck in ...... that's all I'm saying mate
