Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

Read some tweet from that Richard Buxtom saying that had been taken out of context, but hadn't seen the quotes at the time.

TBH it's not like we need to be worried by this sort of thing now. We are going places, so anyone who isn't committed can get to fkuc. Not directing that at Suarez, but generally that goes without saying now.

well that's what they always say... 'taken out of context' blah blah blah...

Whatever the case is, we already know that foreign players will not stay at the club forever. If we don't win anything, they're gonna want to leave for another club soon. We already know that and no big deal I guess. This is the price the club has to pay for not being successful and unfortunately we're going through that phase for not winning anything for the past 3-4 seasons.

If you think about it, players like Reina, Hyppia are very rare who is very loyal to the club. Having said that, when the right opening comes and if he has the chance to play for Barcelona as firt choice GK for example, I'm sure Reina would want to make a move and you can't blame him for that.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has said he would love the chance to play for European champions Barcelona.

Suarez only joined Liverpool in a £22 million deal from Ajax in January but revealed he aways had a "dream" of playing for the all-conquering Spanish giants.

His agent, Pere Guardiola, is the brother of Barca coach Pep Guardiola, but the Uruguay international says this had no bearing on his goal.

"Before meeting Pere Guardiola, my current agent, I had this desire, this dream of a chance to play for that team [Barcelona]," Suarez is quoted as saying in Spanish sports weekly Don Balon.

"Obviously he [Pere] is a person related to Barcelona by his brother, but work situations are totally different relationships. If Guardiola wanted me, he would want me no matter who represents me."

Suarez came off the bench to score on his Liverpool debut at Anfield and quickly became a fans' favourite when he contributed to all three of his team's goals in a 3-1 win over arch-rivals Manchester United.

See ya Luis

1.His agent is Peps brother.
2.Whats wrong with saying he would like to play there some day.
3.Should the Atletico fans have slated Torres for the armband?
4.He only just arrived and will be here for a long time.

He will score 15+ plus Premier League goals next season and set up another 10......

1. That means that barca have an advantage
2. I dont want to hear one of best players saying another team is better than us
3. Yes. You should not show allegiance to another team. It is disrespectful and offensive
4. He has put doubt in peoples mind with that statement

Let's be honest, who wouldn't want to play for Barcelona?

He's ours though!

Does anyone blame him?

This Barce team are probably the best club side ever in my opinion.  If we get 3 or 4 good seasons out of him and sell him on at a profit then he can go there with my blessing.  Lets not get conned into thinking that any of these foreign lads have any real loyalty to the clubs they sign for - Torres was prime example and we bought it hook line and sinker.  Football's a business and to these players it's a job.  Unfortunately we now need to accept modern football for what it is.

Assuming he actually said these things in the context we think he did, I think it shows a lack of respect to the club and the fans. Who the fk does he think he is flirting with another club not even a year after signing with us? I hope Kenny give him an ear bashing.

I hoped he would come out and clear the air...this message is just not right so early into his playing career with LFC...show a total lack of respect and clearly is using us to showcase his name...a clear "come and get me" call is there was ever one!

hmm....not sure what to make of these quotes.

I can't believe he's after a move after 6 months, so maybe it has been taken out of context. Either way, Kenny should have a strong word with him about saying stuff like.
“You cannot transfer the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club, although I am sure there are many clubs who would like to buy it.”
