I really want him to win it, would be great for him. I keep betting on him scoring first :D

If they do win it though I doubt we'll see him against Sunderland in the first game of the season

I only care about Liverpool.  I hope they get knocked out and he comes back sooner :D

This is a fun quiz to take on sporcle: http://www.sporcle.com/games/gb271/goalsforcfc
Luis has had a much better run of it I would say.

I have no doubt this Suarez lad is a world class player with his dribbling skills and goal scoring record and is an invaluable asset to Liverpool. He reminds me of Beardsley, only better. However he recently said he wanted to play for Barcelona one day, I am sure the reason is because of the Spanish roots and Barcelona are probably the best in the world right now. As a Kopite, it was a slap in the face but if I were him, I would definitely harbour such an ambition.

Anyway, he's 24 and is at his prime and all Liverpool can do is get the best out of his prime years for the next 3 years at least, winning a few trophies (the PL hopefully) and see whether he still wants to go to Barca.

Knowing how football works, I am more concerned about who is the manager, the owners, the club's finances etc as they are the backbone of the club's success and if those are in order, then we talk about players.

Look at what happened behind the scenes during the Rafa years, we had Rafa as manager who made too many dud signings, a problem person who was aloof with players, we had opportunist owners who almost bankrupt our club with debt amounting to millions and as a result ended in the bottom 3 at one time.

Just scored two goals in the first semi-final about 30 minutes to go.

First goal is a return by the keeper from a shot by Forlan and the second one he runs around the keeper and slots it home.

I think the second goal earned him the hard foul soon after.  He passed the ball into the net from 20 yards out and did the Pistolero thing for the final 15yards of the balls journey.  Funny as hell.  Glad to see him subbed for as that game was getting really nasty.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Yeah quite a stupid elbow in the face from Vargas. Would love for Suarez to win the whole thing now. They are favourites and playing well as a team but its hillarious to see their width. A country of 3 million? people and they manage to bring up players like this. Their substitutes are way out of depth though.

I really hope he is fit for at least the Arsenal game but I doubt it, as for the Sunderland game I'm confident he will miss that game

As fas as i know... Reina and Gerrard are also struggling to make the Sunderland game.  Would be 3 huge losses.
