He should have the job but on a 2 year deal at the most, maybe even a 1 year deal.. It's hard to say how exactly we will finally play under Kenny cause they have used so many different setups/lineups.  We don't really know what his idea of how we should play is right now, imo at least.  Most would assume its pass and move stuff but we aren't really seeing it on the pitch much now are we?  I have a huge amount of respect for Kenny though so I want him to get the job, the quicker its settled the better too so we can finally get this summer transfer business rolling.

I think if we lose tomorrow and at Arsenal I doubt we'll finish sixth. I can see Everton leapfrogging us till the end. My feeling is that Kenny's only hope of getting the job permanently depended on as few injuries as possible. If we don't get to sixth the board may have to back him big time in the summer if he is to turn it round.

We have the players to finish above the bitters
If we dont it will be a catastophe
The skanks taking the record will be bad enough but to finish below them tramps as well will be my worst nightmare

When we were 19th, folks were more concerned about staying up. We've lost to all the poor clubs so you can't complain if the Bitters end up above us - we've brought it upon ourselves since day 1 of the season.

They've arguably been worse than us this season.

If they come above us then logically they haven't.

I think its difficult to judge Kenny's methods/tactics at the moment.  We don't have a proper first choice LB.  Due to injuries we also have no proper RB.  We have no Gerrard and failed to land Adam in January so we're short in the CM area.  We have no real wingers which we all know.

At the moment Kenny is clearly trying to get the most out of what we have, which sadly isnt a whole lot.

Would love to see a lot of action this summer and Kenny giving at least a year to prove he is the right man.
The king has already saved us from humiliation this season.  Lets see how far he can take us from here.

I think hopefully last night we saw a glimpse of the future. Our wide players were both really dangerous coming off the flanks and joining in with the front men which is what I've been calling for for ages. I don't like Mereiles on the left but I thought he was excellent.

More importantly though I thought it was the best I've seen us play without the ball since spanking Madrid 4-0 at home a couple of years ago. We pressed high up the pitch, we won every second ball and we were sharp in the tackle. Infact last night reminded me of Barcelona in the way we closed the space down and forced them into errors (ok maybe I'm getting a bit carried away but you know what I mean :D ).

Going forward Kenny needs to drill this into the players for every game though. It's no good doing it at home but not away. Against West Ham for example a few weeks back we just stood off them and didn't close down at all. Yesterday we hunted in packs and got our rewards. We need to be doing it week in week out, starting with Arsenal next week because if we don't take the same approach against them they'll play through us at will.

Actually I don't think you were getting carried away, because that's what I thought about our second goal.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

People questioning whether Kenny is teh man for the job without giving him a chance to build his own team in the summer are the typical morons of the modern world. With Roy it was different as his attitude when talking about his own players and the club stunk to high heaven. Alright i disagree with some decisions Kennys done but ive failed to find a manager in all the time ive been watching football who i always (even every other game) think gets everything spot on.

I for one wouldnt be suprised if Boas took over in the summer with Kenny going upstairs nor would i berate the owners for doing so. But i can also see no reason why Kenny hasnt earned the right to be giving atleast this summer to shape a team that he feels will do his tactics more justice.

KK has done more than enough to justify being manager next season
End of story

OK
Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
