Other than N'Gog and Carroll we've got no strikers. There is this youngster Nikola Saric who I dont know, dont think he's ever started for us, and I dont know if he's the kind of striker I am talking about. Other than him there is no one else than can be a replacment for Carroll when he is gone if N'Gog aint here, and I am sure that N'Gog is atleast better than this Saric guy.

IMO you cant play in the Prem without a decent centre forward. N'Gog isnt really a decent striker but he's all we got at the momment. If we sell him we must make sure that we get some other striker like him, only a bit better.

Yeh but mate why do we have to have just one upfront? If Carroll doesnt play we could have Suarez and Kuyt upfront, Kuyt and Pacheco, Suarez and Pacheco, thats better then having Ngog in the team. Id even play Ngoo, Saric, Adorjan and Morgan ahead of him. They cant play any worse then him. Hes had his chance and aint good enough. Now all hes doing is stoping those mentioned players form having a chance to show what they can do.

Its not fair to give a player like him Maxi Jova chance after chance when thier performances dont merit it

Throw him in the English channel with a rubber ring in that hope that gail force winds blow him back to France, au revoir.

Only if we can recoup the cost of the rubber ring!

Seriously, I'm sure he is not as bad as he played tonight, and he is a willing runner for the cause, and isn't bad at holding the ball up. But he is certainly low on confidence, and doesn't look like a player who can convert a good enough percentage of his chances and effectively bring in others.

I'd like to see us sell him and give others a go.

I think Woof has nailed it:

The lad NEVER looks competitive enough for my liking, you could stamp on his foot and he'd probably apologise for getting in your way. Whatever talent he may posses he's just not hard/aggressive enough to make the best of that talent. Never seen him sweat, never seen him looking "up for it".

I'm sure he's a "nice lad".

Thats his biggest problem.

Spot on.

He's just not physical or strong enough for the English game.  He's too timid and he tries to do ridiculous things that he's not capable of.

in the few games he has played so far this season id say he holds the record for the most offsides in the squad.he just lacks the awareness needed to be a top striker.very frustrating to watch.
woof's post on the last page is spot on and sum's ngog up to a tee.
we've seen enough of the wash now its just time to ngog!!!

He has looked lost recently and once we have Suarez and Carroll available and fit he won't get a look in.  Probably off to some French side in the summer.

Just not good enough.

To me he always looks like he is scared of getting a challenge on him that will hurt him, as soon as he receives a pass it looks like his first thought is oh sh!t who's coming in on me rather than thinking what he is going to do with the ball, He looks as if he has the structure to be a good striker but there are major attributes that simply haven't matured.

Not good enough.....

Ngog it's time to go.

Yeh that pisses me off cant for the life of me understand how players get caught offside so much, just proves how so many of them have talent but lack a brain to go with it. Its not hard just stay infront of the defender, Kuyts guilty of this awell. Its often the players with pace to burn who can afford to give the defender afew yards aswell, which is more frustrating.

I am actually at the point where I feel for Ngog as he is clearly out of his depth and worse part he knows it. You can see it written all over his face every time he makes an error. Im not saying he isnt trying, hes doing his best, but the lad knows hes a dead man walking now with Suarez and Carroll in the wings. Its an impossible situation for Ngog now and I honestly think we are killing him slowly by picking him. He must have a reached a point where hes dreading seeing his name on the team sheet and would sooner sit out the campaign and move on in the summer to a side where he can enjoy his football and feel as though hes part of something.
