The lad NEVER looks competitive enough for my liking, you could stamp on his foot and he'd probably apologise for getting in your way. Whatever talent he may posses he's just not hard/aggressive enough to make the best of that talent. Never seen him sweat, never seen him looking "up for it".

I'm sure he's a "nice lad".

Thats his biggest problem.

Ngog will never match the ambitions we have as a club.
Sure he could be 4th choice, but so could many others also.

agree with this Woof. he seems as though he is taking a stroll most of the time if he isnt being pushed out of the way.

I think that's offensive to pongolle! I think he is a far better player technically than ngog. Better close ball control, pacier, has the ability to hold the ball at the corner flag when killing time, his vision let him down a bit but i would rather pongolle had more consistent run outs than ngog has had rather than a bit part role.

If u mean he's another 'promising' french forward who didn't reach the heights we anticipated then i agree. I'd send ngog on loan to a championship club to toughen him up a bit and hope he comes good.

The thing is, is sending him out gonna make any difference to his game? It's not as if he's a young player with potential. Like Voronin, he's just another bi-product of when Rafa couldn't get any more than about 2 million out of Waldorf and Statler at that particular moment in time.

He just doesn't seem hungry enough and sometimes it seems like he's happy with his current progression/status at the club.. which isn't good enough.  He switches off and on though so I wouldn't be surprised if he scored 1 or 2 at Anfield, he's that type of player.

He hasn't changed since we bought him so in that respect we knew what we were buying. His purchase was a sign of the times.

I've tried to stick up for Ngog believing that he had potential but wasn't really getting a chance to show it cause we had proven talent at the time.
He's had plenty of opportunities this season but after showing little progress and after tonight's poor showing against Sparta it's now clear his "talent" (term used loosely) is more suited to the French league or the lower English leagues. He lacks composure in front of goal 9 times out of 10 and has a tendency to run up blind alleys and loose possession. His first touch and overall ball control are poor and I'd have to say thanks for the effort David but don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out this summer.

If we need to move on winning things in the future then Ngog isn't the answer and never will be. sell him in the summer for 2 or 3m and lets play some of the kids we have who are better than him

yep, cheers for your efforts lad but once Carroll is fit I don't expect to see ya. Walk on :)

Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

We dont really have anyone else that can play as a striker and I mean a real striker, a centre forward, not some second strikers or winger strikers, we've got pleanty of those. Other than N'Gog and Carroll we've got no strikers. There is this youngster Nikola Saric who I dont know, dont think he's ever started for us, and I dont know if he's the kind of striker I am talking about. Other than him there is no one else than can be a replacment for Carroll when he is gone if N'Gog aint here, and I am sure that N'Gog is atleast better than this Saric guy.

IMO you cant play in the Prem without a decent centre forward. N'Gog isnt really a decent striker but he's all we got at the momment. If we sell him we must make sure that we get some other striker like him, only a bit better.

The lad has shown a few flashes of ability but I think most of us agree he isn't of the quality required at a club like LFC. to be it in to context he must have had two/three times more game time than Pavlychenko at Spurs over the past 18 months.

I guess it's not the end of the world if he's your 4th striker but I suspect he will be on his way for 3-4 million in the summer. He's better than he shown tonight i think but he is low on confidence and he also rearly needs a patner up top with him.

Always willing to give anyone a fair chance but on tonights merits, I wouldn't trust him in the reserve line-up. Might seem a bit harsh but come on, did he do anything constructive tonight? He's now a liability. We're playing with 10 men when he plays. We dont play F.C.Nowswhere every week so he wont get his goal tally up. Thanks but no thanks
