Torres further explained his decision to push for a move to Chelsea, claiming Liverpool's lack of ambition meant joining the title-chasing champions was like a "light at the end of the tunnel".

"An incredible door opened for me when there was six months of fight ahead of me. Now I can fight for what I've always dreamt about fighting for (trophies). People on the outside can't understand some things about football. The problem was that when Xabi Alonso and then Javier Mascherano left I could only see a light at the end of the tunnel when Chelsea opened the door.

is he taking the p!ss? ???

to be fair and balanced here, the comments in that article are taken from the interview he did on spanish radio last week. as usual though the s*n tries its best to claim credit as if they had some kind of exclusive. of course, i'm also hoping they get beaten tonight and the deceitful one is about as good as he was against us.

I think he's taking more then just the p1ss. He's practically insulted LFC and King Kenny IMO. What does he think we're doing ? not fighting to to be right at the top or get a CL place etc.

Does he think KK is not good enough to take us there ? Can he not see the style of football being played now or that players are playing with freedom to express themselves or that the players are enjoying the game and gelling to create a fortress again (slowly but surely).

'I would like to return to Liverpool and be recognised'

good luck with that one pal
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

It would be safer for him if he wasn't recognized
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
