Hehe he still gives away stupid fouls but you can't fault someone that gives his all.

Once again he virtually controlled the midfield and totally dictated the pace of the game ,different class... one of the most underrated players in the premiership .... right now wouldn't take 30 million for him that's how important he's become

Brilliant today he covered the whole midfield, always said hes like a mix between Alonso and Mascherano, granted not on the same level as them at thier own respected games but is a hell of alot better then most give him credit for. Hes also got a set of lungs on him like Kuyt which is handy. He gives away freekick yes but he stops opposition attacks constantly. His quick simple one touch passing is actually becoming a joy to watch and is a massive factor in or new style, hes a very intelligent player (what i wouldnt give for Gerrard to have his tactical nouse). The lads got heart aswell, id be more then happy to get in another midfielder in the form of a DeFour, Adam or M'Vila form a great partnership and watch him become a true great.

The lad deserves the praise hes getting now, hes earned it for all the years of abuse he suffered and still giving his all for the club.

Thought he did ok today especially second half. Hes not really built for that role physically and hes prone to being muscled off the ball but if you can get people close to him he is able to cope. Its helpded that he has three behind him and lads wide, more distrubution options. He may not do so good in other systems, for example 4-4-2 where hes more exposed however at this point its about getting the best from what we have and I think Lucas will be a lot happier at the minute. To be fair when we played with less freedom Lucas was left in there with nothing moving about him but right now theres runners and options front, back and wide so hes supported. Bottom line its about team work and helping each other, always having options.

One or two of you mentioning his 'mistakes'. Take Masherano, can you not remember how many mistakes or free-kicks he gave away every match? Too many to count.
Another immense dispaly from him today. The guy is gonna be a legend in time

completely agree. in many of the 'big' games mascherano, despite his obvious qualities, was a disaster waiting to happen. i'd love to see his fouls committed stats as well.

For me MOM was Carra.  Lucas was not too far behind though.  Stevie as well.  And Agger.  Hell half the team was MOM, just a great TEAM win.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.
