This is certainly not the first time that Gerrard has had words with Kuyt during games.

if only other players showed this sort of committment.

Yeh right ,Even if Liverpool offerd to pay Villarreal they wouldn't take him.

Come on mate show him some respect, regardless of how you rate him the guys a class act with the way hes gone about things. You think after the way certain players have treated the supporters and the club of late you would atleast give the lad a break from slagging him off.

Your clearly very stubborn aswell, how can you not recognise the improved form Lucas has shown over the last year he gets better and better. Hes no longer a weak point in our team. He breaks up countless opposition attacks and his distribution of the ball is excellent, his fast one touch passing is a key factor to how well we have been keeping position of late. Those who say he only passes the ball sideways clearly dont watch teh matches.

Sorry mate but you lack some basic integrity ,if you credit Lucas for our latest improvment you should fault him at the same time for our poor season so far don't you agree? Fans have short memory and often judge players by their last game ,and Yes i would credit Lucas for being better then last season and being better this last days then previous matches but i'm following the lad for a few years now and he is miles aways from convincing me he is a starting Liverpool player.

I would rather watch Lucas prooving me wrong but i can't understand the festivity taking place over the lad by so many fans over here. This isn't serious.

Nice patronising post there. "Fans have short memory and often judge players by their last game" Do they? Really? well i guess i must be one of these "fans" Oh youve watched Lucas for two years have you well i guess you have more knowledge on him then me because ive only seen him the last few games.

Why would i slag him off for our poor season when hes been one of the few players who looked like theyve gave a :censored: at the start? By your reckoning should Pepe be slagged off for our early preformances (not saying hes been as good before you jump on that comment. However they have both been two of the players who in my mind cant be blamed for that period) Ive always supported Lucas ability from the moment we signed him, i knew he would turn out into a good player, not a world class player but a Ronnie Whealen type player to help the better ones along the way. Yeh in his worst days i wanted him replaced but thats in the past hes been improving for about a year now not just afew games. Torres was an idol in the past, things change.

I just dont see the reasons for continuing to slag him off.

I think Lucas has really come on and developed into a good little player. He's starting to show confidence in forward passing but he keeps it moving and is good at one touch football. He's one player this season who has worn the shirt with pride.

"Lucas plays ball forward shock"
At last he is showing the potential of a brazilian.
Well done for having the confidence to pass to team mates in front of you...

Agree, a couple of mistakes, but you know what, he is getting so much better and will iron out those little thing.

Did you see that long range Alonsoque pass nearing the end. Wow. I think he could become a cross between Alonso and Mascher.

I wanted to jump through the screen and strangle him when he gave the free kick.  But other than that, He was very good today.

Well Done Lucas  :buttrock

I thougt he was poor in the 1st half but grew in the 2nd half and finished superbly. But not great overall.

Another solid game.  Got the ball taken off him in the first half which could have resulted in disaster, but the plastics were limp in attack.  Other than that one play (and the hand ball shout) good game.

today agree with this, fist half he struggled.
Second half he was much much better and when it slowed down at the end he was the best player on the pitch.

I can't belive I'm saying this cos for years I have slated him but I think we should keep lucas for good.

For a while now he's been chuggering away and I think he does a lot of good work. The most important thing is I think he understands the importance and tradition of the shirt. He wants to play for liverpool. I don't see him being like Torres atall. Lucas seems commited to the cause and a true red. He has also been a pivotal player for us in several big games. He's pretty much for the last 2/3 years started every game against utd, chels etc and in all of them he played extreemly well.

I'd rather we kept a true red like Lucas than signing a Muntari or a henderson who doesn't get what is means to play for us atall. Lucas is the only genuin footballer out there in my opinion. Even Gerrard to an extent is driven by money and success. Lucas and possibly kuyt are good people off the pitch and would do anything for us.
