interesting watch apparently...
From the interview:
Former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has revealed a £70m deal for Fernando Torres was mooted last year, and that he would like to manage the club again.
"I think last year we were talking about £70m," Benitez said in an interview for the BBC's Football Focus.
"People were talking about maybe you receive an offer from another club. They were talking about £70m,"
"He was not playing at the same level the last time, but he is still a very good player. It is big money but could [have been] even better."
With Liverpool's form improving under the Scot, and the club's owners spending the Torres cash on strikers Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, Dalglish looks set for a longer stay.
But Benitez said: "To be manager of Liverpool is a dream for me. This time, I know that Kenny is doing really well.
"I have to wait and keep watching games, but if you say to me in the future would you like to be manager, for sure, no doubt about this. When, that is the question. I have to move forward, anyway."

Now I loved Rafa’s early years here, and for those early years, he will always be a legend in my eyes. However he lost his way a little in the last 18 months and maybe it was time for a change. (put this down to him, to owners, to cecil and / or coco if you wish – we’ve all had our say about it – many many times!)
He loves the club. That much is obvious. He knows us and he gets us. But to me, this interview comes across as he wants the job right now, and trying to say he could have got more money for Torres (I mean why say “it is big money, but it could have been even better”– it’s almost like a job advert!
I’ve only seen a bit, but should make interesting viewing….

we wouldn't have seen a penny of that £70m though.
