The danger with taking exception to what people say is that you fall out constantly and end up alienating to the point of ridiculousness. If someone says something you dont like you shouldnt pout, stamp your foot and cry. How childish is it when a politician refuses to speak to a journalist because they ask awkward questions? Or a football manager wont talk to a television company because of allegations?
I am sure that SOS wouldnt like to be thought of in that light because they have made innovative an exciting roads with the club and we all owe them a debt of gratitude. It would be a shame if this group of people tarnished their outstanding reputation because of a trivial remark from an ignorant man.
:nod

I seem to remember James Mc coming out and publicly  condemning the very same  contemptuous  statement by our naive manager ..
Do feel free to correct me if I am wrong ...you see I also know lads who swear by everything Macca says ...you know with him being the spokesman for SOS     :nod

lad, i don't mind people putting contructive opinions, but spaming the board with the same old negative articles and writing DO ONE ROY at the bottom is neither constructive or clever.

journalists who got slated for criticising Rafa are now described as 'top men' because they're criticising Roy. These journos HATE Liverpool FC, yet because they include Roy in their slagging off of LFC, they're applauded.

i'm beginging to want Roy to leave just so we can bring in someone new and finally move away from all this sh!te and talk about our great club.

It's feels like this forum is being run by Bloooos

I can't think of any journo's honestly that have slagged roy. As far as i can see there all saying back him and the supporters are out of order for wanting him gone . There were plenty that layed into rafa and thgem very same journo's backed roy .I don't know of any of them that have backtracked. Obviously because they know that they will look like knobs if they do .

By he way i would love rafa to come back for my own reason's but , i really don't think he should . The fans were divided about him and now we are united in our belief that  hodgson should go . We will need a new manager that will unite the fans behind him and move forward . Rafa needs to take a year out of the game and recharge his batteries and look for a job after that .

This is on the offal and I'm sorry its utter nonsense like this that makes me want Roy out of here NOW.
Whoever came to a club saying "its not my team I need to build my own before anyone can blame me for the results"

"But it is still a team that I have not put together. I want to make that clear. I took the team over and I have not made that many changes. I brought in [Paul] Konchesky to play left back, Raul Meireles to replace [Javier] Mascherano and Joe Cole came in at the same time as me as well as Christian Poulsen. The other players I have inherited..........."I am more than happy to take responsibility for this squad but it takes a coach more than five or six months to make his stamp on a club. I am hoping we will do some good business in the transfer windows to come and then I will be able say, 'If you don't like it then I have no one to blame but myself'."

If you're an "inherited player" how motivated would you be for the rest of the season? This man is an absolute joke and must go.

Maybe he feels he is taking too much criticism for some things beyond his control? Sounds to me like he is asking for time and patience from the fans.
And just wearing the shirt should be enough motivation for the players...

Are you serious? If you were one of the 'inherited' players that would bother you?

NOTHING wrong with any of what Roy said.

I have always maintained that Roy should be given until at least Chritmas before he can be judged.

Well time is up and it dosent seem to be working. For a club like us to have lost 7 games at the turn of the year is not acceptable. No matter who the manager is. That said the league in general has been very poor this year and we are not the only ones throwing points way. I can see it getting better under Roy and despite what anyone think he will be here until at least the end of the season. NESV will not sack him now - whats the point? If they are going to make a change it will be at the start of the summer were a new man can come in and make some changes. Big changes are never made in January, big players dont move in January

Getting back to Roy so far and it has been a mixed bag. Some of signings have been terrible and some have been very good. The bad results have far outweighed the good ones but as I said I can see us getting better under Roy in the New Year. Unless he goes on an unbelievable run though he will go in the summer as he has lost 99% of the fans and its hard to see him getting that back. He lost a lot of them before he even started and a lot who were on the fence and now moved to the Roy Out side.

I will still back him and I really hope he does well but his faith is sealed. Even if he wins the UEFA Cup.

I dont post on here much lately because we have lost a lot of good posters and it is not a football forum anymore. Its all about petty digs and childish remarks. Its an argument forum at the moment but the tiring thing at the moment is that the subject never changes. On an argument forum a subject is put forward and two sides debate it out. Then the following week the subject is changed and away they go again.

The subject is never changed on here and it has become boring. The forum is slowly dying.

100% Agree, Im not a massive poster on here, but I have been here for many years, very good posters have gone becasue of the way this forum has gone.

A lot of the posters I used to respect the opinons of have turned into pretty nasty people, slating here, deliberatley on the wind up.

The mods are however sorting the problem out I feel, they are banning one entire side of the opinion.

i think that is what most fans feel like mate  :)

They (we) are not backing Roy and realise that it looks like he should never have been appointed.
But while he is here we will support as best we can and wait for the inevitable.
