There were too many aimless balls out of defence again. We couldn't retain possession for any significant period of time. Our central midfield was dominated. Our "wide" players never went past their fullbacks once and our main striker was misfiring awfully badly. Not to mention the fact that Andy Carroll dominated both our centre backs.

I'm not putting the blame solely at the managers door. A lot of the players have a lot to answer for aswell. However we surrendered control of the game after getting back to 1-1 and having that decent 10 minute spell. After Ranger came on the game completely changed but Hodgson did absolutely nothing to counter that change. Why? Because he had no idea how to. We just ended up sitting deeper and deeper and inviting pressure against lets face it, an average side (although roy called them "formiddable opposition").

Mind you, the manager also thought we played well in the first half even though we were absolutely woeful and created sod all.

I am not in the habit of defending the indefencible and most of what you say is true. I am as gutted as anyone about the defeat as I honestly didnt think they were 2 goals better than us.
My point is that Hodgson has been accused of being negative with regards to his team selection and his tactics. When I say the newcastle game wasnt negative I am not saying there werent some negative things. There were plenty, as you have pointed out. What I mean is that he picked an attacking minded team with one of Europes leading strikers and world cup winner Torres and the clubs leading goalscorer Ngog. He also picked the in form maxi and lucas. Again, not negative. We had a go and although the second goal took the wind out of our sails, I was pleased with some of the play in the match.
He then brought the fast, pacy, recently scored a goal Babel on to try and shake the team up, but once again tweeting ar'se failed to live up to expectations. As Ive said I wont defend something for the sake of it and konchesky has to be one of the worst players Ive seen in a Liverpool shirt. For that I must blame Hodgson and the longer he plays him the worse it will get. But, I repeat, I felt it was a more positive performance than some of the early games and if more players did their job properly we wouldnt be having this discussion

I've tried to give Roy a chance.. I think there have been sogns of improvement in the way we are playing, especially at home, but our away results have been terrible.  Imagine if we had drawn all are away games?  We would have been in 2nd or 3rd place!!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

surely he hasn't got many games left in him? sorry but it's getting beyond a joke. Reading that post earlier with his comments on has really p!ssed me off. What the hell are his aspirations with Liverpool? Top half and famous wins against European sides nobodies heard of? ???

Ciggy wrote:First off lets get this one out the way I didnt post when we got beat by Spurs or Stoke, secondly to call me and other people glory hunters because we dont like Hodgson is quite frankly ridiculas.
Those of you that hated Rafa and wanted him are you glory hunters? See the hypocracy in that?

Those of you being most vocal in your support of Roy, wanted Rafa out at all costs, and its killing you people that Roys here its just bravado.

This is the only Liverpool forum that he has a following on even the whoppers on the offal want him out.
But then again this forum was the most vocal in wanting Rafa out coinsidence? No I dont think so.

Why should I back a man I have no belief in?
Will he win us the league? Will he sh!te !!!
Will he win us the CL? Dont be feckin daft !!!
Will we be in the CL next season? Not unless another manager comes in asap !!!!

He's doing one thing well though he's breaking our records all over the shop the last time Liverpool where on - goal difference at this stage in the season was 57 years ago.

The last time we where in the relegation zone like he had us there a few weeks ago was also 57 years ago.

We are 17th in the away form league table http://www.statto.com/footbal....way
lets all get behind the manager hey, the manager who cannot win away from home, the english manager who knows the league inside out but cant win away from home why?
Because he's totally clueless and sets the team up first and foremost not to get beat and play for a draw.

Well Im sorry but its not good enough for my club, we expect to be challenging for every trophy thats on offer, i dont give a rats @rse if everyone hates us I prefer it that way instead we are being told other clubs like us now that nasty fat Spanish waiter has gone.

Wonderfull good old uncle Roy has friends everywhere whys that?  Because other managers are guarenteed 3 points against him when we turn up at their gaff, Fergie loves him, why? Because he is not and never will be a threat to him, never in a million years.

His whole out look screeches negativity, his demeanour is of a mediocre manager who cant believe his luck that he's been given the job at Britains most successfull club, he trys as much as he can to lower our expectations well I am not having it, I dont care he's making us a laughing stock no fears us any more and god forbid Blackpool could even do the double over us since when should we feel fear of Blackpool turning us over twice in a season?

Since we have a manager so far out of his depth that he's drowning and taking us down with him, steady the ship  ??? Iceberg ahead !!!

NESV need to act immediatly otherwise I question why they bought the club in the first place, our best players will leave if he stays Nando & Pepe wont stick around to be turned into english players, no CL for the forseeable future if he stays he will take us back so many years we will end up also rans like Villa, Blackburn & Everton mark my words !!!!

John Henry said we are winners, and we like to win about the Redsox, well Mr Henry our manager is making us look like total losers and if you want a return on your investment in the near future do the right thing for my beloved club before its to late.

Liverpool have taken just five points from a possible 27 on their travels – their worst tally at this stage of a campaign since 1962.

Get this fraud out of our club !!!!

Good post ciggy. Roy doesn't embody the spirit of a Liverpool manager. We're not asking to be like barcelona overnight. All we're asking is for the team to get the 4th place slot which we all agree we are capable of with this squad... And also for him to act like a Liverpool manager. I would have Kenny take over as interim amd see where we can go from there.

Look, the majority of the fans wants him out because he isn't good enough, this is well known in every other board. We won't improve if the managers and players don't have the backing of the fans, so the only way to go forward is to start new, get a new manager who can do better and has all of the fans behind him.

I hope that the new manager (whether NESV decides that Roy has to move on) gets a chance.

Next season is the start of the building season

I dont give two sh!ts if I insult him, hes insulting my club by being here, The truth hurts doesnt it, thats why you and the other Roy lovers cant handle it !!!

I think Ill stay around thanx to tell people the truth about the manager !!!

So who on here are Roy lovers then becuase I can't think of anyone? I do however see some people who choose to be loyal to the current manager and give him a chance, which I thought was the espoused Liverpool way.

That having been said I want to see the back of Roy as well but I do think he has got the team playing a lot better than at the start of the season, although that is not saying much.

If you dont think hes an owl faced kunt and a doddery old fart with a speech impediment then you love him and think the sun shines out of his ar'sehole
Its really quite childish the way some have behaved on here (and off here to be fair) towards our current manager. Like spoilt brats who cant get their own way and have the cheek to say theyre doing it in our best interests!
