MOTM again for me.

and to think that a lot of fans wouldn't have him in the side when everyone is fit.

hes a very good player who has steadily improved over the last 3years nevermind this season
he made some errors that led to goals in his first season and some people just havnt been able to let it go, its ridiculous
hes still young and will get even better because his attitude is first class and he has always had the talent hes like babel but with a better outlook on life :) having said that in recent weeks babels attitude has improved and hes shown glimpses of what he can do but is it just because the transfer window is about to open??
anyway back on lucas, i think he has formed a great partnership with mierles and i for one have always backed him so im happy hes getting credit now just dissapointed some people are too stubborn to hold their hands up and praise the lad, really really hope roy doesnt stick gerrard back in the middle when hes fits because it just doesnt work for us

Never been a big fan of Lucas but he has definitely improved as a player and deserves a big pat on the back for his recent performances.

Let's not get carried away though just yet.  He's a young player who is finally showing some potential.

Let's face it he has been largely dung until recently, you would have been laughed at for suggesting he was good enough for Liverpool and his performances since he signed justified that.

There has been a change in the lad, let's hope it's not a flash in the pan and his recent form is what we see on a regular basis.  Go Lucas!

Been our best and most consistant player this season . I couldn't give two f.ucks what anyone else say's ,he was excellent again last night . Man of the match by a mile . He's ramming it back down the c.unts throats who booed him, and he's showing that with the right partner alongside him (raul) he can dominate a midfield . Made up for the lad .

Totally agree, the short controlled passing between both Lucas and Raul was very continental and I haven't seen our midfield in so much confident mood since Xabi was in the midfield.

Which leaves one question do we put Gerrard somewhere else.

btw I would move him just behind Torres

Maybe all Lucas has been waiting for is someone to talk to on the pitch. Lucas has long been the but of all jokes, at times looked unable to pass wind and not totally comfortable in the EPL. Along comes the intelligent little player called Raul Meireles who talks the same language and BANG...Lucas explodes into life. Maybe Roy has pulled off a masterstroke in bringing the experiences Meireles to help Lucas out!!! :;):

Lucas has been playing well for twelve months and is getting better aswell . Will be in our midfield for a good while to come ,it's just that some bellwhiffs can't see the wood for the tree's and expect every young brazilian to be a Zico or friggin socrateas . He was young and in a foreign country and playing a style of footy that was totally foreign to him . Of course he needed time and he needed support , not boo's and derision . The lad is going to be an LFC stalwart in the coming years , first name on the team sheet and all that .

Igor's been on the zoko :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

In a good five or six games this season he's been one of our better players, tackling, harrying and blocking, and passing it with more fizz than he did last season. But, just like the team's recent upturn in form, such performances will have to become the norm for him to convince me of his worth to the team in any long-term sense.

I have never been a fan of Lucas!
I always felt at best he would only be a back-up squad player and if a good offer came in we should off load him. My main problem was that he never really showed any glimpses of great quality that you could say lets give him some more time.

Now I have to admit I've been impressed with him lately, especially against Chelsea he was awesome. So he has now shown the glimpses I wanted to see, so I am willing to give him more time and maybe he can become a consistently good quality player.........

Roy should be looking to get Lucas on a new long-term contract.

Some people are getting carried away on here, best to wait and see how he develops before hailing Lucas a success or a first choice player.

Most of his performances haven't been good enough since he was signed, well until recently that is.  I don't know how people reckon he's been playing well for a year or so, he hasn't.

He is getting better, and he deserves all the credit he gets. If he keeps playing consistent basis, he will be undroppable.

Maybe our ''Fletcher''.. would be good
