ROY HODGSON - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

It was a good win against the worst side to come to anfield in a while and it will mean nothing if we don't get a result against spurs . I'm not that optimistic with this sorry excuse of a manager in charge . We will probabaly go back to sitting back and get shafted good and proper . Our away form suggests it will . I was at the last away game against stoke and i was shouting for dalglish as loud as anyone . Roy (i'll be as respectful as i can ) is not the man for liverpool and needs to be got rid of now , while the season is young .

It was a good opportunity to sort out our goal difference and they were there for the taking. Was glad for the 3 points though Dawson.

4 Wins and a draw from our last 6 premier league games is not a bad record for a new manager feeling his way into the job after a very shaky start.

I bet if that was the record of Rijkaard or Hiddink everyone would be singing their praises. Give Hodgson a break in my opinion, we are moving in the right direction with a limited squad.

Big name managers are all well and good but there is certainly a big element of "emperor's new clothes" when it comes to these guys. Look at Capello and England.. A manager is only as good as the squad and resources at his disposal.

It is time to get behind our manager like we always have and stop all the bitching and moaning. Yes, we will have bad results from time to time but lets see where we are a year from now. I am damn sure we will be in a better place if everyone from the fans through to the players were all pulling in the same direction.

Think this is right, havent we got 15 points from the last 18 available.  That is really good form!

:p
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

13 out of 18.

We dropped 5 against Wigan and Stoke.
Its a decent return but the away form is still awful and we've got some trickier ties coming up.

Don't mean to be disrespectful to Roy, but if Ancelloti becomes available id pick up the phone straight away.

...and leave it off the hook so he cant call us asking for a job. We do not need a Chelsea reject for a manager, he really isn't that good.

I wouldn't say that, but if (and it's a big IF) Roy leaves then we have to replace him with someone who will stick around and rebuild us into a title winning team.

Ancelloti isn't that man by a long shot
