I voted no, even if I liked the man and think Hodgson is a step back. Time to start a new project, me thinks !

Judging by the results of this poll, I can safely say, Liverpool fans are ready to start a new chapter (without Benitez)

Outside this forum the concensus may be a little different.

Correct. In fact I know of at least 2 forums where there is an overwhemling majority who would want him back.

There are deffo more antis on here than other forums.

pity you dont live here then.

Besides the point. And I know plenty that do and all would want him back.

I think I'll stick with this forum, the people on here can be labled "anti" but they can also be labled "smart".

Inter fans are not as tolerant of mistakes & failure especially when you have been used to winning the championship for the last few years. Managers come and go in Serie A quite often.

Inter fans will pelt their own players with coins let alone give the manager abuse. I remember watching Ronaldo running to his car in San Siro car park from Inter fans. They were all throwing coins and lighters at the players. Think it was after a derby they lost.

Italy has always been a manager merry go round. Most of the top managers there have managed at least 2 of the big sides there.

Yes. The players had a good relationship with Mourinho so to come into his shoes was always going to be hard.

Despite it being a winning team it's a new manager so he would have his own ideas and probably want his own players.

If he won the league there everyone would say it's Mounrho's team and if he loses it they will say he messed it up. He's dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't.

That is so spooky
How Benitez can get sympathy for taking over a team at the top and Roy gets roasted for inheriting a team that was in freefall.

kinell Saint you are wound up tighter than my ars.e mate chill out will you.[/quote]
its a good question and a fair comparison though isn't it? you're acknowledging that its very hard to come in as a new manager, take over a team built up by a previous manager and not having any real money to spend. why does rafa get leeway but hodgson doesn't?

and why do you keep calling thommo's perm saint?

I voted no . We have to move on and accept that Benitez is now history and making his own way in another counrty and another team . We need to be concerntating on making our own history with new owners and a new manager . Enjoy the past , but look to the future and how we can shape it .

The Inter fan's hated Maurice when he first arrived, they couldnt stand his arrogance. What rafa's going thu off the field is no different from what Mo went thru.

You guys have selective memories.

Funny really - everyone is slaggng Roy off and still talkin about RAFA.
1 AC Milan    29
2 Lazio        26
3 Napoli       24
4 Juventus   23
5 Roma        22
6 Inter Milan 20
7 Palermo     20
8 Sampdoria  19

Same length of time as Roy at a new club. Difference being RAFA has turned one of the best teams in europe into an average Italian team.

I dont see how the new owners could ever have him back, his stats on buying good players is very poor and he did not win the prem (what he was given the job of doing) and left the club with no bench.

our owners might not be at the club all the time but they are not blind.

anyway way looks like the manager of the london russians might be looking for a new job.

bit of a shock that, but if you are a manager you would think you could pick your own team to put out but it dont seem the case there any more, no wonder he is looking to leave, thety cut his right hand man put and now pick the team for him.

Rafa is currently 9 points off the top of the league  with Inter Milan.

Roy is currently 9 points off the top of the league with Liverpool.

I dont know whether you follow Italian football or not DAV but if you do the above comment doesnt do you any justice.

I'm not getting into discussions over the merits of Rafa in Italy however its darn hard to read some of the drivel posted on this forum these days and not comment.

To be fair though his record as Inter manager is comparable to Roys as LFC manager and we have the majority of our fans saying Roy isnt good enough etc.
