You should ask him how he did it Reg and apply the same methodology to your obsession with Rafa . Very similar story in many ways, torn, worn out, had to be thrown out, no choice. You need to be brave too Reg, I know you can do it. No more crying and stamping your feet because some nasty person doesn't appreciate Rafa quite as much as you do mate, chin up and get over it.

Mick, the giraffe's gone mate, theres no point mentioning in all future posts, you've got to let it go.

Just like Rafa's gone, Giraffe's gone too and nowt can bring it back.

I found this site for you mate, apparantly they have quite a few requests from anti-Rafas:

Season has only just started ... and 7th would be a big ask for me personally especially given our ridiculously cowardly away form, and the managers glaring ineptitude
so lets keep our collective fingers crossed we can adapt to some of the  posters mammoth expectations for this season
I honestly believe we could not witness twice in a season the depths we fell to at Stoke ...surely no performance could mirror our petrified stance in that particular gem of a game ...  but  lets not forget our next game is at Anfield so Roy will get a goods nights sleep ...I suppose someone will eventually realise this is probably the weakest we have seen the Premiership and we still stand 11th ..... that is of course no reflection on our manager because lets face it Fulham are weaker having lost Hodgson .... but they do win away now ,,,
I suppose there are two sides to every coin

Feck me maybe Mick & Daws would be happier if this was changed to the Season Review 2009-10 thread.

Give it a rest lads. NESV will assess Roy based on this seasons targets not the previous season's performance because there are undeniably too many variable circumstances from one season to another.

Bottom line is we are not even half way into the season and it's a disaster, a disaster that exceeds last season by any stretch.

The managers tactics are not suited for this club, his man managment style is not suited to this squad and to top it off his interviews are not suited for this club. Just think you have to make a pretty strong impression for nearly all fans to want you out less than 6 months into your job.

Despite any feelings towards the previous manager I think results would have eventually won the fans over, that hasn't happened. It's not a question of if but when he goes.

I just hope the next one we bring in is a proper replacement, one for the long run, one that will take us into the new era we were supposed to have started after the ownership change.

i just hope the next manager gets given a chance and isnt treated by the fans the way roy has been. that'd be nice. Next manager has to be strong, with years of top top experience...

As for a disaster, still think its too early, and we shouldnt be comparing to last season as others say, as thats all down to opinion

This was a unique situation. I think most of the fans were pretty cut up about the way the previous manager was ousted so naturally those feelings were still present when the new one was appointed. I suspect this time the majority of fans WILL be keen to see someone else come in.

As for the next manager as much as id like someone with bags of experience the important thing is that they are hungry and want to play good attacking football, pass and move like we used to.

The old manager HAD TO GO!

but thats for a different thread, this is about Roy, who has a better record last 6 games than Redknapp and Manciini, and the same as Ancellotti

So you think me and a few on here were the only ones wanting the old manager to stick around? Do you seriously think that?  :D If you want to know what it looks like for nearly all the fans to know someone has to go look no further than the present situation.

As for that little stat, well it stinks of desperation mate. Sorry, it is what it is.

the stat is fact, nothing harder factwise than stats. And no one wanted the old manager to stick around.

last 6 games record is all we can go by really, we need to win more, but we're winning more than the first 10 games or whatever... and the last 6 games stat, whats wrong with it? Just because it takes away another reason for you to have a go?

Just cause last season was poor it doesnt mean we excuse what is happening so far this season - im sorry Dawson but we have been absolutely shocking beyond belief .

GYBS you are my favourite poster
You amuse and fascinate me in equal measure
First you say:
"Mick last season has gone - get over it please"
Then you make that statement above
:D
Lets try and clear this up.
For me last season was the final straw from a man who had clearly come to the end of his tenure. I dont want to get into a tit for tat argument so can we all agree that his time was up, for whatever reason? Great.
I have said previously that I believe if last season would have continued until July this year instead of ending in May, in my opinion, based on the paucity of the performances, we could have ended up in the relegation zone. We were that bad.
Whilst I agree that we are still poor under Roy, I still think theres a possibility that it can be turned round. It has been highlighted that we are 3 points off 5th and 3 points off 18th. That tells me how fickle the results are this season. So we are by no means out of it yet. Yes, we need consistancy. Yes, we need stability. Yes I would like better performances and nicer football. But winning ugly will do too.
So those going on about last season and comparing it with this season are wasting their precious time because is not really important now. Or relevant.

Im pretty sure plenty wanted the previous manager to stay . So no thommo we want all agree his time was up . You have your opinion I have mine neither is the same opinion as everyone . Simple as that

Sorry but why exacltly do we only go by the last 6 games? Is that because the last few games contain 1 or 2 games where we haven't been gash? If you want to look at facts then look here.

The fact is we replaced a manager with a win % of over 55% with someone whos record is around 30%. You can twist and skew stats all you want mate but it doesn't sweep any of this under the carpet. This stink is too big to cover up.
