yeah last game sucked, and the one before, but last season was worse, it really was, but thats about another time, another manager...

all im saying is it aint as bad as some make out, Roy isnt an idiot, and doesnt deserve to be called one... he needs to make changes, but the whole system at LFC needs changing. players need to be gotten rid of, everything needs work

And yet we are still very close to last seasons league position. It just shows you how bad we were, I agree with you.

Season not over yet - still got plenty of time to go further backwards -

If we are comparing last season - what was the lowest in the table we ever went down too ?

I don't know mate but it doesn't really matter does it ??? Where anybody is after a couple of matches in neither here nor there really. I think Blackpool were top for a bit.

Interesting your point about still having plenty of time to go backwards. It's true of course, it's just an interesting way of looking at things   :;): .

just the mentality of certain posters.

Look, some people have completely forgotten about last season. Most of the ones most angry about Roy this season were most vocal against the ex manager last season.

But now we have Roy, we need the players playing together, we need 100% fit and healthy players

Yeah we need to push further up the field, but name me a manager that doesnt need to improve!

Who remembers last season seeing how poor we were, but not a single sub until 60 minutes, we were all screaming then! So now we gotta give teh guy some time

I honestly cant see how people arent seeing it this way

Well your wanting to compare last season to this - we havent been higher than 8th or is it 9th this season and as low as 19th where as last season we were as high as 3rd and lowest was actually 7th if memory serves me right

Now i know the reply will be - its how we ended up that matters then i would say the same thing to yourself -

Us being 9th right now and being closed to where we finished last season means nothing at this time and IMO looking at the performances and set up and tactics esp away from home i cant see us going much higher .

If you can it would be nice if you could point out the reasons from what you have seen from our performances so far

Just because we dont mention last season in every single post we make doesnt mean people have forgotten it .

Just cause last season was poor it doesnt mean we excuse what is happening so far this season - im sorry Dawson but we have been absolutely shocking beyond belief .

I don't know if your question at the end makes sense, have another look at it and I'll try and give you an answer. As I've said many times now, I think we'll finish 6th. Even though that is obviously a better finishing position than last season, I like to be consistent as you know. 7th was an atrocious effort last season and the manager had to go, 6th this season isn't better by enough and if that's all he can do, Roy should go too.

I agree with you.

You get in more jabs than the NHS.

The date today is 17th November 2010, its not 2009.

last season is history, its gone... let it go.

I know how you feel though, one of my boys cried his eyes out when we had to throw his toy giraffe away but honestly it was torn and worn out, we had no choice. He was brave though and got over it.

Shall we compare where we are now to where we were at this time last season ???  would that be a better pointer ?

today is today, we got 9 out of last 15, same as cheatski, 4 more than citeh, 4 more than spurs, 2 less than manure

so again i ask, is the form that bad. and if weve been as bad as everyone says, which we have in some games, we should win the league by 20 odd points when we hit form and buy a couple more players in januray

You should ask him how he did it Reg and apply the same methodology to your obsession with Rafa . Very similar story in many ways, torn, worn out, had to be thrown out, no choice. You need to be brave too Reg, I know you can do it. No more crying and stamping your feet because some nasty person doesn't appreciate Rafa quite as much as you do mate, chin up and get over it.

Whether or not we are doing better than last season is besides the point. We should not be judging Hodgson against Rafa's poorest season in the Premiership. We should be judging Hodgson on his relationship with the fans, the media and above all the success and style of the football we are playing.

We should be judging Hodgson on the level of perfomance he is exhibiting in one of the most challenging but also the most cherished jobs in the world

Clearly the man is failing in all areas and if we were to take a chance and bring in a caretaker manager who will set us up to play in an attacking and attractive 'pass and move' way then we may still have a chance of salvaging something from this season. The other big teams are struggling, but someone will find consistent form at some point and the league will be there for the taking.

I am by no means suggesting we can win the league, but we could still be in the mix for a Champions League spot.

We will NOT achieve this with a manager such as Hodgson and the groundswell of opinion suggests that he should go immediately. The man doesn't appear to be enjoying the job, the players don't appear to respect him or wish to play in his style. It is a 'no-brainer'!

Do we really want a manager that alienates all our 'footballing' players and brings in utter, utter dross such as Poulsen and Konchesky?

Honestly...it not rocket science!! Arrrrgghh! :veryangry
