That's a very good question mate, although I don't think in this case you need to as I think I'm right in saying you are allowed to post in here still even if you do "unappreciate" Roy. It's the way it's always been, people are permitted to post good things and bad things.

As for the thread in the other section, as I obviously don't "appreciate" Benitez to quite the same extent as some on here, I suppose I'll have to create an unappreciation thread as well. Will that mean though that people who DO appreciate him aren't allowed to post in my thread, that you get a card for saying "remember Istanbul" or something

It'd be worthless if I'd seen him in the ressies, playing blindingly well and then seen him struggle to fit into the first team. First team football is a lot different from reserve, to see whether a player makes the grade is knowing whether HE IS good enough in the first team not the reserve team. Many players down the years have looked great in the reserves, Mellor, Spearing et al but don't quite cut it at the TOP END OF THE GAME, they are different stratospheres completely.

As for my ''silly'' comment about him not playing under Rafa, and you thinking he's 6 months older (Pacheco) and should play, well Reg 'if your good enough your old enough' none of this excuse making about his age and him being a tad older. Hype has surrounded this kid for a few years and now suddenly that Roy's in charge it is demanded that he plays him now to see what he's all about in the FIRST TEAM, Rafa had him for longer and didn't use him enough but nowt was said about that.

Excuse me but a lot of people have been saying for a long time that the youth deserved more of a go under Rafa, maybe not on this forum but certainly on other forums I have seen, it was one of the many many irritating things about Rafa.

This is not the appreciation thread but the Official thread....you may however create an appreciation thread to co-exist with the official thread .

Alright since we're on the subject.. Why am i not allowed to start threads again ? Someone changed my status to "probationary member" a while back i suppose.. honest mistake im sure !!

Only 4.4% of voters want him to stay! its getting like the takeover saga. We all know what needs to happen...we just have to see how much damage is done before then.

Who said anything about giving him any money daws. If we do spend anything in Jan I'd expect Comolli to be making those decisions rather than Roy. An no your right there isn't a replacement available now but I'm sure Dalglish would be happy to take over till then.

he obviously has to go, or the club will be ripped apart, but not until a proper replacement is given.. proper replacement, not Kenny. Kenny is a living legend, is a god for us, but not a manager

Its not at all strange, the only people who continue to vent their spleens at Benitez are people with chips on their shoulder.

Ok crossed wires there I thought you meant give him money in the Jan window then get rid of in the summer. Even still do you expect him to stay for the duration of his contract? Even if they found a replacement in the summer and sacked him they would still have to pay him off.

Which games specifically would you give the ressies a chance at?

A CL game when progress = cash?
A top league game that could decide the season? or
A minor league game when the 3 points have to be taken.

Its easy to say the youngsters should get a run out but very difficult to execute it unless there is an injury. Beggered if you do, beggered if you dont if you get my drift. If the first team works, dont change it.
