They're given a shot every week in the reserves. Thats why we have a reserve team. They dont need to play first team footy to show they're any good.

I despair at the the stupidity of posts like this.

Very imaginative.

The 'first team' is for players that have proved they are of the right quality.

The Reserve team is for up and coming players.

The role of the Reserve team manager is to inform the First team manager that someone is good enough or not. If Roy is not playing a Resreve team player its because he's not good enough.

The fact that YOU cant judge him because YOU haven't seen him play in the First team is a worthless comment. To then associate the same silly comment with when the previous manager was in charge and the player was less experienced is even more surpising, unless you´re just a WUM.

If you want to see Pacheco play, go to a reserve team game, because both the reserve team and first team managers believe thats his current standard of football.

If you still dont get it, get someone to draw pictures.

So the conclusion is that none of them are any good.  :sniffle

Just been reading some of the responses to last nights arguments and the one thing conveniently omitted was the sarcasm that finds its way into every post ......for at least a month now we have had posts ending in "Proper fans I think not ...or "The best supporters in the World ,the most knowledgeable they should be ashamed ....... Why someone believes they have the right to sit on their computer and cast judgement is beyond me ....... We don't feel the manager is capable ,we feel he is in over his head ....we feel he needs to go and go with the utmost urgency .....
Listen I will hold my hands up and accept the retribution handed out last night because I was out of order ,I was wound up like a coiled spring and I reacted .....but other posters need to take responsibility for their actions ...just once a post that didn't include a reference to Benitez or his time at Liverpool would be a start ......because the barbs are starting to choke the life out of this forum...... as for me I have been childish by responding to said taunts and have more than warranted the warnings (cards )

I never got involved in last nights arguments at all, didn't make a single post. I did get a wee bit of abuse in my direction, as well as a passing reference from yourself Red. That's all good I've got no problem with either, but as an intelligent man surely you can see the contradiction in having a go at people who "cast judgement" on others, when you yourself constantly refer to peoples location, eligability as a fan, how often they attend matches etc etc.

It's a constant amazement to me that local Liverpool fans get themselves wound up that contributors on an internet forum are not all from Liverpool and don't go to every game. I must confess, if I lived in Liverpool myself I don't think I'd bother with forums. I'd just talk to my mates down the pub, talk to the milkman or the next door neighbour or whatever. It's precisely because many posters don't live in Liverpool that they go onto a forum I should think, so to refer to Kharaz in the way it happened yesterday is simply nonsense.

No sarcasm or anything like it involved in this post, I've no wish whatsoever to get involved in the arguments on either "respect" or on "Roy Hodgson" and I'm not going to.

Mick I pop in and then I pop out my visits are fleeting to say the least ...I held my hands up earlier to warranting the warnings ...maybe you could have the honesty to admit that when you draft your replies that there is also a certain amount of baiting involved ...I mean if we are to be truly honest and you don't view me looking on your latest contribution ...as another veiled  attempt to muddy the waters even further
I can be as foolish as anyone on this forum and I have been precisely that of late .... but my retorts are retaliation and I am honest enough to acknowledge they do little to contribute to the fluency of this forum .....perhaps the constant digs about us not being true fans that you included in your posts can be considered as having the same debilitating results where the forum is concerned .....

Abuse ? I asked you why you constantly put little points about the manager in your post then when people ask you about it you say you dont want to talk about the manager - there was definatly no abuse .

Ill try to get this back on track...
On the pacheco issue and whether Hodgson should sell him... Someone mentioned him being played out wide as a criticism since he was top scorer at the u19s... Well, he got the award playing as a wide man in the championships so it might help if you knew what you were talking about..

I dont think Pacheco is good enough or ever will be for this league... He's too lightweight and doesnt have enough skill or pace to compensate.. Technically gifted i'll give you that but unless he plays  in the Spanish league or one of the smaller leagues, he'll never become a big player for any club with serious ambition...

Of all our other youngsters, I think Kelly and Shelvey have the best chance of making it and for that I think they should be given more chances this season (especially with it looking increasingly likely that we'll miss out on CL football yet again) ... I dont particularly rate Eccelstone, but given experience he might become a solid player for a mid-table side in a few years, i'd give him the chance to look for first team football elsewhere.. Spearing, ElZhar, and most of the other kids simply arent good enough)... Still waiting to see what Wilson has to offer.. Have to say im a little disappointed that we havent seen him feature yet..

yeah but he's lightweight and has no pace at all. so to say that someone won't make it over here because of that is just plain daft. infact arsenal's team is full of midgets and they don't seem to do too badly.

Good young player Pacheco ....and not unlike Fabregas in his ability and vision to pick out a defense splitting  pass
reminds me very much of a young Nasri before he made the grade .....the same arguments about him being lightweight were probably  aimed at him in his early career .....players as obviously gifted as young Danny need to be retained
