My own eyes, from the couple of times I've seen him play. Look, it's just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. You obviously disagree, and that's OK (I could ask you what you are judging your opinion on too, but we won't go there). It's just an opinion though.

In three or four years time, if heaven forbid neither of us have been able to find something better to do with our time by then, we can revisit the subject if either of us can remember it and see who was right.

In the meantime though, posting up lists of players who have apparantly got golden balls isn't going to change my opinion. Neither will it work if you tell me he was voted the best player ever to come out of Spain. Based on my own thoughts, I don't think he's good enough.

To be fair, Pacheco is just another one in a long list who've been played out of position anyway. He was top scorer at the u19's and yet we stick him out wide which is what we tend to do with forwards.

These lads should be in the reserves playing week in week out - IF then the manager of the reserves says they're not up to it - fair enough by me.

How can we ever get any youngsters into the team though? We can't judge them on 5 min cameo's. Except for Kelly and Insua, none of them have being given a real shot.

It was sad to see Nemeth go without hardly ever kicking a ball for the first team. And it will be sad if Pacheco goes because he hasn't been given a proper chance.

What will players like Suso have to do to get into the team?
NESV are apparently all about youth and long term so hopefully they can help sort this out.

They're given a shot every week in the reserves. Thats why we have a reserve team. They dont need to play first team footy to show they're any good.

In my opinion (obviously) Spearing, Shelvey, Pacheco and Ecclestone aren't and never will be good enough. Kelly on the other hand will.

I can see what your saying about the other lads but Pacheco is special.

I couldn't tell you for SURE about Pacheco because I never saw enough of him when Rafa was here.

Hopefully Roy will introduce him at some point this season because we need something different.

I haven't judges him either way yet Mick because I don't think he has been given a chance to show us how good he is . He came on late last season and set up the winner for gerrard in one game and hasn't featured since but he has looked good for reserves and spainish youth . He has had 5 subs appearances for us so I think it's very harsh to judge him on that .

Oh and he has started 3 Europa games this season and we have won all three with him being played in a wider role

May I ask why that is?
