Do you actually watch any games or are ya too busy spouting sh.ite on here? Lucas has been playing well all season and has also played a part in several important matches previous.

As for his improvement being down to Roy, yeah I'm sure being dropped for fecking poulsen worked wonders for Lucas' confidence.

He has come good because a) he has talent and b) he has a strong enough mentality to ignore all the sh.ite said about him.

Brazil coach obviously thinks so too btw.

Yep, usual reasoned response from you there   :sleep

He was great against Chelsea, but ultimately if we are serious about being a good team he isn't really good enough. He's by no means on his own, and he probably isn't the worst either, but no he isn't good enough.

Mick why is every opinion you type phrased like an undeniable fact? You should be a politician.

I think he he keeps improving and gets the right partner he can be a success - he has pace, energy and is a good tackler but he needs to cut out the silly late challenges though as once he gets booked it limits him greatly. I have to admit I never thought the kid would flourish in that defensive midfield role and that we needed to see him played further forward to be any kind of success but I hope he keeps putting performances in that prove me wrong. In what has been a real hit and miss season for us so far him and Kyriakos have been two of the few pluses

He's done very well in a few games this season, notably Blackburn and Chelsea, but also Bolton. The other side of the coin is his performances against teams such as Man City, Everton, Northampton, West Brom, Wigan and Stoke. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up after Liverpool. Will his future destination - if/when he moves on - be a Juventus or an AC Milan, a Man City or a Spurs, a Valencia or a Villareal, or will it be a Wigan or a West Ham; a Malaga or a Gijon?

I think most people can see Lucas has the capabilities to be a top player when paired with quality in the middle ,but there is no way on earth anyone can tell me he is not good enough especially given the ridiculously negative tactics deployed by the manager when we play away from home ................. this turgid defensive  style Roy is using whenever we play away is light years away from being anything remotely near good enough .....how the fuck you can prepare you defenders and midfielder's to be systematically under the cosh for the best part of 90 mins is totally beyond me ,,,,so lets  lay off the lad eh ...he has probably been our only highlight of this entire dismal campaign ...

He's young and has a bright future ahead. He isn't going anywhere.

is a good tackler but he needs to cut out the silly late challenges.....Kinda contradicts your point no? He is slow and a lousy tackler that is why he give aways so many fouls in dangerous positions and why he gets booked.

NoOne in Brazil understands why he plays and to tell you the truth i think He is in Brazil greater squad as Skertel is in Slovakia and Kuyt in Holland because they are playing for Liverpool and it should be the opposite....I can't even see Lucas potential and to which player he can evolve to...Can you? Can he drible ? can he kick the ball ? can he give creative passes? what the hell are you seeing in him??

If there is an offer coming in Jan, would you guys sell him say for 10million? It would be tempting to do so. If have the right replacement, I would sell if someone to fork out that kind of money.

he has put in some decent peformances this year, pity weve had to wait 3 years for them. Simply put he isnt good enough, never has been and never ever will be, when we get to rebuilding this sorry excuse for a football team he should be high on the list of people to get rid off.

No it doesnt, his tackling is good but its when he puts in little, petchulant, needless fouls that he puts the team at risk from set pieces.

He is slow and a lousy tackler

You seem confused. His name is spelt L U C A S and he wears the number 21. Not P O U L S E N number 28. They both have blonde hair. I can see how you could be struggling.

The problem is, and I will continue to say this, he's not a defensive midfielder.  He links play and always looks better higher up the park.  Hodgson's replacement for Masch was Poulsen and he has been a complete disaster.  He's looked hot and cold for us but he's looked brilliant for Brazil playing along side a stronger holding midfielder (Ramirez, I believe).  This was what Rafa was trying to get w/ Lucas and Masch, it didn't work, but I think he has a future at the club, if the manager(s) can figure out how(where) to play him.

Are you serious?

Lucas playing in Brazil in a semented starting eleven I have hard time to believe but the other players are really liked and are seen as must have players in their teams.

People seem to forget that Lucas who did not play good at all the first seasons got chosen for the same trophy that only is handed out to one player every year in Brazil and I even think he was the youngest to ever recieve it. Thats a heavy burden for a young boy but he has always just fought on though people have booed him etc. Players that have gotten this accolade earlier are legends as Zico, Careca, Romario etc. I think it's pretty damn cool that he chose to come to Liverpool to ply his trade and hopefully he will only get better.

No player should ever be given in a team but have to earn it and Lucas are finally doing it.

Ok let's try again ,you know why he puts needless fouls? because he is a poor tackler, because his instincts are too slow that is why is misses the ball but finds the opponents feet.

And if Paulson is your reference for a football player then i understand why you think Lucas is good...So to wrap it up ,Paulson has retired from football he just doesn't know it and Lucas thinks he is a rising star but no one woke him up yet. Both aren't good for Liverpools future.

Yes I'm serious ,Lucas is currently only appearing in Friendlies game and the fact he is even there is a mystery to a few Brazailians i talked with...As to Skertel well i always thought the fact he looks like a tatooed Murderer has gave him place in any team ,he is just physical man to man defender with a very limited play..can't remember him scoring a header ever ,can't see him developing any play from defence to midfield ,but hey he is an International so he got's to quality. Babel is also an international and Dossena and many more..let's value them at eye sight only and not in appearences in national teams. Mentioning Zico and Romario at the same breath is just an insult. I'm really but really trying to find the potential in the lad ,he is doing a hell of a job covering it.
