ROY HODGSON - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby anti-hero » Wed Nov 10, 2010 10:48 pm

any optimism i had after the chelsea game; any fleeting belief that i had recovered for roy hodgson as manager of the club has evaporated after this stunning display of lousy passes, non existent tackling, and a general lack of bo.llocks that stems directly from the manager.

results like the one against chelsea will count for nothing in the end if we cant beat a bottom three side like wigan.

WIGAN.

WHATS THE USE IN BEATING THE TOP FOUR?! IF WE CANT BEAT SMALLER TEAMS?

we are going nowhere with roy hodgson.

to say that his tactics and decisions are awful and counter productive with a team of our caliber is severely understated. the man needs to go, NOW.

and take paul konchesky and poulsen with you.

Bang on from robbo on twitter

The first 20 minutes proved #lfc had enough to win that. The following 73 proved Hodgson's tactics and decisions are negative & uninspiring

I think most teams in the premiership would have had a reasonable chance of taking three points off Chelsea on sunday given how poor they were and without Ballack, Essien, Lampard and Drogba. I doubt Ngog would have taken those chances Torres scored. I suspect that Comolli and Hodgson have advised Mr Henry that there will be a lack of quality available in January so there is little point in spending big then. If the next few weeks go the reverse of the last three Hodgson will be appraoching the last chance saloon. I doubt a relegation fight is on the cards for 2011 but I also doubt Hodgson will be at Anfield come November 2011.

f'cked it up big time with his subs today, but can't blame him with the poor passing.

Should have done better though

I think the Shelvey for Meireles one was a bad one, but Poulsen for Kuyt, I had no complaints at that. That one made sense, we needed to try gain some sort of control in the midfield, so that for me was a good move. It would have proven to be a master-stroke if Gerrard hit the net instead of the bloody bar !

Bringing Poulsen on full stop is a bad, bad decision. The bloke is muck, so No, I don't agree with that. I would have Spearing in there any day ahead of Poulsen

I disagree. He is not muck. He hasnt had the best start granted, but only games will give him the experience needed to succeed in the Premier League.

It seems to me Lucas has been promoted from scapegoat and Poulsen is the new boy.

Is correct. He's not up to it. Still, doesn't excuse the bellends who boo'd him coming onto the pitch. Even if they weren't boo'ing the player himself and were boo'ing Roy for bringing him on, either way, it's bang out of order. D*ckheads. It's not Poulsen's fault. Probably the same group of w"nkers that boo'd Lucas at West Ham coming onto the pitch as we went top of the f*cking league.  :no

I just seen the highights on MoTD. Missed the game as I was out training. My knee is f*cked and it's a bit painful, but something's telling me it woudn't be as painful as watching us tonight going by the forums.

Hope your right but I think he has too many miles on his clock

That being said whether a player is a failure this slating they get whether it be Maxi, Lucas or even Kuyt early on and now Poulsen really smacks of a mob needing a panto villian to boo and hiss their frustrations at. Rather pathetic ugly side of human nature

Didnt see match down under and it doesnt sound great. However three days after beating Chelsea an away point against Wigan isnt end of world on its own.
