he was outstanding today, stayedon his feet and worked really hard to break up play

and the emergence of his brazilian skills at the end was the icing on the cake

credit due to the lad for todays game.
he was confident and comfortable with the ball and was decisive in his tackling and even found time for a bit of magic as well.worked well with sg today and that might be something to build on.
credit where its due,he was one of our best players out there today and i hope he finds consistency whilst continuing to progress.

No problem with Lucas today the lad did a great job in there. Needs the consistency now and there wont be a problem so more of the same and there may be a player in him afterall.

The arrival of Poulsen has been the making of Lucas.  He's had to fight to get back into the side and now looks a totally different player for us.  I think having Gerrard in the engine room with him complements him nicely and he's going from strength to strength at the moment.  As someone's said above, the key now is to cement it all with some consistency over a run of games.  Nice on Lucas lad. :)

The Lad should get used to the superlatives being used to describe his performances   ..... he was absolutely magnificent out there

.Well done Lucas,

I apologise for being an ignorant fan, who questioned your ability.

All we need now is for Ryan Babel to shut me up :)

there's a couple of people saying he needs consistency. has he not already been consistently one of our better performers this season? i'm not sure how much more consistency we can ask from the bloke.

Lucas was actually awarded man of the match in the fantasy football league. Before today, I thought that would always be a fantasy.  :D

Everything pretty much came off for him today. His passing and ball control seems to have improved 10 fold in recent games.

He was everywhere today though, breaking up chelsea's attacking play.

Very impressed, lets hope he can keep it going, showed some great flair at the end also.

The biggest change for me is that he seems more confident now to play a positive pass rather than just a simple square ball. For me, when you look how he played under Rafa and how that part of his game has come on under Hodgson we really have to give the current coach a bit of credit.

I was really suprised when I heard that he has been one of our best players for last season. We all know he was probably the worse. But this season... It's still only the start of it but the guy has probably been one of the best in all the games he played so far this season and I really hope that from now on he will only improve and play like he played today.
