Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby RED BEERGOGGLES » Mon Nov 01, 2010 8:10 pm

No some posters are quite correct 12th is definitely not in the mix ,nor I might add further was our time spent languishing in the bottom three .... but anyway lets not quibble as I fully expect a win against Chelsea and to those who seem intent on highlighting only the parts of a post that best serves their crusade ...... I will repeat I think we will win against Chelsea because we have the players capable of doing so ....... and people wonder why their is a split ffs

Yeah!, I have to admit the thread does have some top posters who share some pearls of wisdom...

Congratulations on winning the Champions league though - you guys deserved it.

if we had Mourinho last season, we would be in the ECL.

I think he is one of the greatest managers of all time, already up there with Paisley for me.

Is right rafa  :buttrock

Hodgson is talking about things he doesn't understand. He needs to stop talking about flops and concentrate on his job.  I brought Dalglish back it was Purslow who gave him another job.

can we forget about Rafa, he isn't here, he is gone, he was a chapter in our history, thanks for the memories bye now. Can we also forget about Mourinho, arrogant @ss, he already stated that he doesn't want to coach Liverpool, he prefers bitters, so it makes him a c*nt and a sheister (as bigmick puts it).

We have Roy and we have the players at our disposal, lets hope we get some good players in Jan, get the players that will strengthen the team, get back to challenging and get back to annoying the fck out of whiskey nose

If we are to take the view that it was ill advised of Hodgson to get involved in the Benitez debate (and if he'd have asked me, knowing what I know I'd have told him not to even consider going there) it's probably equally daft for Rafa to be continually involving himself in politics at a club who no longer employ him.

He really ought to concern himself with the widening gap between Inter and Lazio. Failure to even win Serie A this season given the circumstances would be a very poor effort, despite any spin people try to put on it.

Again, who gives a f*ck what Rafa does for Inter, good luck to him wherever he goes, whatever, but lets just concentrate on Liverpool please and talk Liverpool. (sorry BM)

The journos kept badgering him about Roys comments, rafa is right to defend his corner about lies from Roy saying he banned dalglish from Melwood when dalglish came out today and said he never which makes Roy look pretty stupid for saying it in the first place.

Roy needs to shut up and concentrate on getting us up the table he talks to much, and most of what he says is sh!te anyway.

Roy needs to improve, needs to word his interviews better, but the insults need to stop :)

Maybe I am not reading the forum enough but I really haven't seen any insults for some time. I saw pictures a while ago and o*l comments but it was only by a small number of people who seemed to be doing MOST of it lightheartedly and seems to have dried up now anyway. Roy doesn't need this defence over 'insults' any more. He just needs to start being more considered in interviews and keep working at improving our performances.

Id give anything to have him back and I am ashamed of getting fed up with him. Even rafa knows Roys talking aloud of sh!te in his press conferences

Rafael Benitez has launched another cryptic attack on the current regime at Liverpool, this time lambasting successor Roy Hodgson.

Almost two weeks to the day since hitting out at then-managing director Christian Purslow and comparing his own departure from Anfield to a bottle of milk, Benitez claimed Hodgson could not "see a priest on a mountain of sugar".

Inter Milan boss Benitez, back in England for Tuesday night's Champions League game at Tottenham, was responding to accusations from Hodgson that he had banned club ambassador and scout Kenny Dalglish from Liverpool's Melwood training ground during his time in charge.

"I think that Mr Hodgson, he doesn't understand," Benitez said.

"Every single press conference is even worse than the last one. He's talking about things that he doesn't know.

"And some people cannot see a priest on a mountain of sugar.

"Maybe he hasn't been in Liverpool too long. We gave the fans their pride - again. We fought for the fans, we fought for the club and we fought for our players.

"So maybe he cannot understand this."

He added: "I brought back Kenny Dalglish to do a role in the club and Christian Purslow gave him another role.

"He (Hodgson) doesn't know but I will explain it to him.

"So, instead of talking about the flips or the flops, he has to concentrate on his players, try to do his best.

"He has a good job to do."

Once again defending his own record as Liverpool manager during a six-year reign that ended in the summer, Benitez said: "They've signed nine players.

"With £10million net spending, I left that squad with £300million value, 13 internationals.

"So, instead of talking about flips and flops, he has to concentrate on his job, try to do his best and not talk about the level of his players or the new players.

"Concentrate, try to do your best because it will be the best for the club and it will be the best for the fans."

Roy needs to shut up and concentrate on getting us up the table he talks to much, and most of what he says is sh!te anyway.

He also called him a master of European football, and rightly so.

One thing I have noticed is Roy is quite to bite to any bit of news or even transfer gossip that may be on the grapevine. That might have been ok at Blackburn or Fulham but he really needs to get down and help the team string together a few more wins, starting against Chelsea.

I think it will be a good test of his tactical nous. At home, with virtually a full strength side and 2 wins on the trot, we should be able to beat them. Let's see if he can really motivate them for a big game. Will be a massive result if he can pull it off. I just hope we don't shut up shop and try to nick a goal.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.
