Listen the most ridiculous thing about this thread is the people who resolutely know in their heart of hearts that the current manager is simply not good enough ....and on the other side of the divide, we are constantly being informed that he needs time and that they steadfastly  believe that he will not make the same glaring errors of judgement that he has in the past ...... like they know him personally ..... surely both sides need to let posters have their say on relevant issues surrounding the ineptitude or lack of it by the current incumbent as long as it is not considered offensive .... because to put it quite bluntly know one knows the man (well albeit from his Premiership buddies ) and both sides are starting to sound a tad condescending ............... of course this is just my personal opinion ....seen as posters seem so set on delivering theirs so readily

I don't think anyone on here is saying that they know Hodgson personally, but merely they are pointing out how people jump on Roy's neck every time he says something, or waiting to jump on every opportunity when Roy does an error.

The majority wants him out, no question about it, but lets do that sensibly by not calling him a ''disgrace'' or a ''tw@t'' or an ''owl face''.

If Hodgson can survive and improve the team then it couldnt happen to a nicer fella so I for one hope he doesnt trip himself up and can get these lads motivated and playing good attacking football. When he took the job he was quoted as saying that a club of our stature should fear no one and it wasnt acceptable for Liverpool to play for draws or with fear and yet much of his short reign has flown in the face of those words. To be honest its disrespectful of the traditions of the football club to play negative football and I beleive that Hodgson can only keep his job if he respects those values. Bolton will be a test, and then its Chelsea, but can Roy stop himself from those old habits as he fills out the team sheet and draws the gameplan on the whiteboard. We will at least be some way to knowing that this time tomorrow and lets face it, hes still under pressure and despite a victory against Blackburn his tenure hangs by a thread with a big week ahead for him personally.

roys only got what rafa had left him so really he should be given time to sort out the mess that rafa left him. I mean what business would reward  a boss with 6 million pound compo when hes totally fecked the business up. Having said that roy hasnt helped his cause by some of his signings.

I havent commened about Woy's inability to say the right thing but I will now.

His latest comments that 'I won't snub KK the way Rafa Benitez did.' if very insulting.

Kenny clearly mentions in his book the good relationship he had with Rafa and how he was eternally grateful for offering him a chance to come back to Anfield and not feeling threatened by the fact KK was back.

What is Woy thinking?

I haven't heard or read that. But if true he is a :censored: idiot. Does he want to get on peoples bad side? Maybe he knows he is out on deep water and feels that he can't handle it.

Just come in from town Reg and went on Rawk ,and its gone into meltdown over this clowns latest barb ....he needs to go and he needs to go now ...yet another ill-advised snap at the hand that feeds him .....
Up until now I think I have been respectful in not calling the man derogatory names ... but this odious bitter twisted old man needs to be removed ,he will never have the humility or dignified approach so readily associated with Liverpool managers of the past ....
and for that reason alone his continued presence  will only serve to drag the name of this great club through the mud
Nice man my @rse ...and thats a fucking FACT

Hodgson said: “If Kenny’s presence is a threat then that’s what it is.

“The fact is I’m not prepared to pass up on quality people, who can help the club and help us move forward, because I’m personally frightened.

“If the day comes and they decide they want Kenny Dalglish and not me then so be it. That wasn’t the case in the summer but that’s not to say it won’t be the case for ever.

“I don’t know. I don’t have any fears in that respect, though. I know what I can bring to the job. I know what qualities I have.

“I’m not a political person and I’m not frightened of those things.

“At the moment he is doing a very good job alongside us and we involve him very much in our scouting.

“I always said to Kenny when it was mooted that Liverpool wanted me for the job that, if I got it, he would be very much on board with me.

“It won’t be the question it was with Benitez that you are here in name but you are never allowed to set foot in Melwood – and basically we don’t want anything to do with you.

“I told him that wouldn’t be the case.

“I want to tap into as much as possible all the things that you can bring.

“Not least of all his legendary and iconic status.

“But one of the things he can really help us with on a very practical basis day-to-day is that, when there are a lot of matches to cover, he can do that for us.

“He has a good eye and he knows exactly what we’re looking for.

“When he goes to games he can come back and say, ‘Yes I like the player’ – or ‘No’. That’s really good information.

“And, of course, he still works and does a lot with the younger players down at the academy.

“He also plays an ambassadorial role, which he was brought in to do.

“For me they are the things he’s very good at. That’s why I told him I was disappointed he applied for the manager’s job – because I didn’t think that was ever going to really happen for him.

“Whereas the other role, you couldn’t find a better person in the world to do that job for Liverpool than Kenny Dalglish.

“He should be doing that for me and other managers when I leave. He should be doing it for years to come. His job should be a permanent one.

“I don’t know about his ambitions. You can understand it’s not something I discuss with him and say, ‘Do you want my job?’”

It’s clear to see that Hodgson is entirely at ease with the situation and was delighted they got their heads together at Wigan, checking out opposing players.

Hodgson added: “He didn’t have to go to the game but he asked me if he could come with me. I was delighted and he even insisted on driving, which is always nice, because I don’t like driving.

“Now we move on together. We all want success for this club and, when we get it right, it will be great again.

“Seeing us at the bottom or very near the bottom is the last thing anyone wants.

“We are gutted by that and we know we have upset many supporters.

“I have got to ask them for a bit of patience and understanding because the situation we find ourselves in doesn’t get put right overnight.”

********************************
His pot shots at Rafa is ridiculous...Rafa was the one that offered Kenny the chance to have a role at Anfield. Despite what he claims I really do think that he is threatened by Kenny. No other reason he would be talking this much about this...

He is doing untold damage to his reputation as this "NICE MAN " the media go to extreme lengths to portray ...  :(
but no doubt you will still get the posters who feel an all consuming overwhelming desire to defend him .......
lets compile a little list to who he has offended shall we
1, S.O.S
2, The match going fans
3,Rafa
4,The Danish
5,The Norwegians
6,Torres
7,Frank Rikjaard
8,Galatasaray
9,Kenny Dalglish

The list is already extensive ....just think how long it will be when he has been here a full season .... I shudder to think I truly do :no
