With the additions of Cole and Meireles and with the midfield is light as it is - and the squad as a whole lacking a combination of pace/power/physicality, that you need to close teams down effectively - there's no room for Aquilani. Take our £13m and move on.

typical english pathetic respone and meireles and cole hardly physical are they when there both about 5ft tall. Wheres the creativity no wonder nando wants out.

well for a crocked player he still got 2 goals and 7 assists in 13 games not bad for a crocked player hey?

Aqualani's out on loan, odd's are we won't see him again.

I know Rocky's got a hard on for him but until it looks like Aqualani might actually return can we please just let the Aqualani saga lie.

Sending him on loan with an option to buy seemed like a mistake to me. Perhaps in the end he just lacked the mentality to make it in this league, but I don't know. Many of us thought this year was going to be his year! Perhaps it has turned out that way...

The first thing he said when he got to Juve is "I hope this move can be permanent" (paraphrase). He didn't want to be here - end of. If a player doesn't want to be here you have to work out some kind of arrangement. It was never on ability that he wasn't going to make it here, it was on desire.
