Don't we want someone who is disappointed when we don't win such a game? He's 'delighted'?  :oh:

Welcome to Roy's world :D

He was just proud on how young players proved alot of people wrong today, I mean the cr@p I read on the game thread about how Napoli are going to beat us 4-0 or 3-0 because we are playing the reserves.

Well, they were proved wrong. It was an assured display

Wrong . The manager is an average manager and is used to managing average teams . So he is used to average performances and it's been the same for him for 35years .

We however are Liverpool FC , average is not in our vocabulary and average means feckin sh!t . WE EXSIST TO WIN TROPHIES ,NOT TO FIGHT RELEGATION BATTLES.

What I'm saying mate, given that we played young players today, they did well, unlike others who thought Napoli would have battered us.

'Liverpool admit they are powerless to resist Manchester United bid for Fernando Torres'

Torres won't go to the mancs. Why would he leave a club that's just got rid of it's money troubles (hopefully) to join one in worse sh!t than we were finacially . Rooney said it in his statement more or less.

What a dumb headline.  :no

Sounds like some of the shite spouted on here.

Look, Hodgeson said that "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it"

Now, some have taken that to mean that he wants to sell Torres to Man Utd. Largely, because they WANT it to mean that, so they can further stir some shit.

What it actually is, is a decent non-commital answer. It means nothing. Nothing at all and it should be viewed that way.

Of course, what Roy SHOULD have said was that we're not thinking of selling at the moment, but of strengthening the squad.

Which, in and of itself means fuck all too. But, it would go some way to distracting the bloodhounds.

BTW Reg, your link goes to an error page. Perhaps the story was pulled?

Storm in a fucking tea cup anyway.

Yes it is a dumb headline and it is twisting his words but that was one of our criticisms of Roy last night. He was niave in many ways by saying what he said, least of all as appearing weak in front of our fans but also because newspapers are likely to twist his words.

It doesn't matter a bloody thing though at the end of the day really. It'll be forgotten about soon enough. Except by those who wish to use it against him. A lot of whom will be the "Owl Brigade" on here.

It's a nothing quote, blown completely out of proportion.

There are much, MUCH bigger issues with Roy's tenure and current perdicament, as far as I am concerned.
