I don't know about "defending" Roy, but I still think it would be a mistake to call time on him after eight matches. There were parts of todays game which I thought were an improvement on the Blackpool performance, not enough but an improvement, but whichever way you look at it sacking him now isn't the right move for me.
The ONLY reason why I can see sense in getting rid, and I've said this before, is that the fans have dug themselves into such a deep hole of dislike over him I cannot see him winning them over no matter what he does. I absolutely 100% believe that until the fans and the club are united (which means they must be behind the manager) we will not achieve our potential. It's looking impossible for Roy to achieve this as far as I can see it.

BM - Roy has just come out and said that was the best performance under him... whose digging who in a hole here.
Liverpool Supporters know enough, to know when the wrong man for the job is being appointed, to reflect the ambition of the old regime..
none of us wanted him to fail.. failue for him is failure for our beloved... - but this was predictable, and there is no comfort in being right..
BTW:
Do you think he's looking at the league table the wrong way up

It is a bit of a strange interview I'll give you that, although I must confess I thought we did alright in patches as well.

Fir sure if you think he isn't up to it then go for your life, but the "owl" stuff, like the "Woy" jibes do people no credit at all.
