It seems like the manager of the year award went to his head and he now believes the hype that he can do no wrong. So far he has shown absolutely no sign that he is the right man for liverpool. He wont be here long.

Right, I'm just curious for those who still defend Roy Hodgson and still think he's right for this job: what's your case. Present your points across as to why he's good enough and why he should still be our boss after putting us into a spot where we haven't been in some 50 odd years. Do tell.

Anyone mad enough to still defend his cause? Any takers?

Agreed.

This has gone long enough. RH is outta of his dept. Its really sickening when i see him giving pathetic excuses to the press on how if he is sacked it would be travesty of justice and then continues to use the same tactics game in and out.

I can't believe i am saying this....i would take back benitez any day over substandard RH.

The new board should sack him. We can't afford to give him any more games.

He has to go it's that simple!
He is getting NOTHING from the players

As for the Liverpool way??Don't make me laugh..What if we bring in Big Sam or Sammy McIlroy..Curbishley maybe??
Still support because he's the Liverpool manager....Wise Up!

He has been in a hole since the second game of the season and is still playing the same drab, cautious pathetic football!!

GET HIM OUT NOW!!

For those who were backing Roy now change their tone saying they are not backing Roy but it was mistake from Rafa and Torres was sh.it. I'm sure they know who they are.

Mate, no excuse. Blackpool are tiny compared to us. Do they have a side containing talent like Torres, Agger, Reina, Mereiles, Cole, Gerrard etc etc? Not even close. Yet look where they are in the league. Hodgson was a back street Renault Clio racer before he grew an ego of having that LMA award go to his noggin and thought he could hop behind the wheel of a super powered F1 car. The f*cking wheels were bound to fly off. Talk about hitting a wall at 200 mph.

Is it just coincedental that those who defend roy now are the same people who attacked rafa in the past. Well we would never be in the position we are in now with rafa still here. You dont know what you have got till its gone.

The window to a manger's mind is his use of players; the roles he assigns them and how he responds to events as the game progresses, either thru subs or changes in shape. I've asked myself from the very beginning, what is Roy about? Many matches later I still do not have a clue!

He has no clear ideas and its translating to the team.

We want Torres to score goals. The question is how do we get the ball to him to be effective? How do we get players around him? What sort of movement do we expect from him and around him?

How do we play the ball in MF? In turn, what do we want from our MF and MF players?

What do we want from Cole? A wide man coming centrally from left or right, or hugging the byeline; or a trequartista behind Torres?

What role do we want for Johnson? A wing back? If so how do we protect him...

Where is the best place for Gerrard that maximizes his contribution to the team? A good but undisciplined CM or behind Torres in the same role he won player of the year a few seasons back?

How do we play from the back? The long ball out or the passing from the back? If the latter why is Agger marginalized?

Truth is there are too many unresolved technical issues or to be kinder to the manager 'un-translated' tactical issues. Either way the result is the same.

Roy lacks the intelligence to be a modern manager in a top club. He never had it; he never will. Not in his pension years...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.
