A nicey nicey derby week for the two managers according to the Everton bit of today's Echo. The Moyes-Hodgson love-in, consumated by a mini-break together for a match and a bevvy in Belgium during the week.

I think Roy will be the manager for the rest of this season at least, unless we go into a really bad tail spin and find ourself in relegation positions come the turn of the year...

With regards to using Woy , I was told only the members of the "Posse" used such a derogatory word.

"Posse"
defintion: those who want to see the end to Roy's role as manager of Liverpool FC(source:- bigmicktionary)

Its going to take a Lazarus style come back for Roy to keep his job. The new owners are going to listen to the fans, their intent on not making the same mistakes as H&G and if enough supporters are saying get rid I think they will.
It would cost a fortune and a lot of promises to bring in an established top draw manager so its going to be interesting to see how they play it. Roys got a couple weeks what ever happens.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,

Is that a Liverpool manager Dunny?

I agree, its right on a par with ensuring key players dont sign a new contract until the manager does...

I think Roy is a decent man and a good manager but I dont see him as the right fit for Liverpol. I dont see him as our long term manager and despite what the owners have said about backing him I dont think they will see him as the future either. It likely that there will be some money to spend in January and I concerned about Roy bringing in players that the next manager wont want. I'd prefer that a new man come in before Xmas while there is still time to salvage the season and let him implement a new plan. If the right man isnt availabe just yet I'd prefer Daglish come in as caretaker, something which may happen yet if results dont improve.

I know the situation at the club wasnt Roy's fault and he wasnt helped with Mascherano leaving (which was always going to happen) but I think he bought badly in the summer and the team has dramatically underperformed even with the relatively meagre playing resources we have.

I also suspect that the tail is wagging the dog a bit with Roy: obviously all of this is gossip and hearsay, but speculation persists about certain characters calling the shots in the dressing room, refusing to play in certain positions and what not, and part of Roy's brief seems to be to keep them happy, given their standing within the club and with the fans.

If we are embarking on a new adventure I'd prefer the new man to come in sooner rather than later, and appoint Daglish as a caretaker manager until then.

Roy may win the derby tomorrow but in almost every game we have played this year we have been consistently dire, and Roy needs to accept responsibility for that.

I suspect that the first big casualty of the NESV revolution within Anfield will be Roy. It wont happen straight away but if we are still in the lower reaches by mid November, surely even the wet behind the ears Yanks will have had enough, especially seeing that the side has the potential of qualifying for Europe next year - with a couple of new recruits in January, of course.

I dont see where he said this?

HERE is the full interview. As far as I can see he is just saying that it is not in Liverpools style to sack mangers so early

As Igor said earlier - "It feels so so uncomfortable asking for an LFC manager to be sacked in October. Not right atall imo"

I agree

Yeah I am JBG. I was simply pointing out that if you pick holes in one statement from our current manager, you can also pick out holes in others.

i think it is right to ask ANY Liverpool manager to be sacked after a home defeat in the carling cup to one of the worst teams in the English entire leagues and a home defeat to Blackpool when as a last resort (in both matches) you are pushing a 6 foot odd greek defender as a main striker to score you the goals. Wat to go Roy!!

So should Rafa have gone after the home defeat to Reading in the FA cup last year?

The MODS from RAWK and Save Liverpool all want Roy out anyway and they have met with John Henry tonight.

I didn't know they represented all LFC Supporters? Or are they representing a handful?
