Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I've said it before Bob, if rafa were still in charge and we were playing this bad (I know we were never "quite" this bad under Rafa before anybody jumps in), then somebody would have floated the idea that he was losing on purpose :D . Roy's not losing on purpose of course, we've just played sh!t so far.

Hopefully it all changes on Sunday.

We'll be fine.  I hear Broughton and Grabbo will be getting a run-out.  :nod

Time to get on the Roy bandwagon :D

New beginning, and it better start with a pleasing win against the bitters !

It's not so much a bandwagon mate, more of a longish skateboard. We aren't even going to consider upgrading it to a bandwagon until the applications to join speed up a bit.

At the moment it's not exactly hard to get on, it's fair to say we aren't exactly getting knocked over in the rush   :D .

Roy...

'I think it would be a sad day for football and a very sad day for Liverpool Football club if, after eight games, someone the pomp and circumstance that greeted my arrival was sacked,' said Hodgson.
'Liverpool spent a lot of money paying compensation to Fulham to bring me here. I was feted as one of the best managers around. If eight games into the season people start saying that I'm no good at all and I have to go, that would be a sad day for me and for the club.

'That kind of thing isn't Liverpool's style. Liverpool down the years have always been the opposite of that. This was the club that gave Bill Shankly 15 years to build the club and then spent the next 10 years trying to ensure that the people who worked under Shankly carried his work on. I find speculation about my future insulting to both me and the club.'

Shankly was 42 when he came to Liverpool not 63, and after your p!ss up this week in Belgium with Moyes, Allerdyce, and fergie kindly leave our club tommorrow please win or loose.

Asking for a pay off from your 3 years contract, just leave us alone please.

Nanny I think what he is saying is that Liverppol as a club paid a lot of money to get him, at the time (only a few months ago!) the press and fellow mangers and players were saying he was one of the best mangers around.

I think what he is asking for is time to prove that, thats all, he dosent become a bad manger overnight

"I have a three-year contract so if someone wants to get rid of me they presumably pay up my three-year contract"

Is that a Liverpool manager Dunny? He said these words today and being on that LMA p!ss up Im out he hasnt even talked about the derby ffsits the biggest fixture for us fans hasnt mentioned it once.

Look i understand your feelings Ciggy and I know you want rid, he would have said plenty about the derby but Fridays press conference was understandably called off because of the takeover.

As for being in Belguim with that lot, I couldn't care less, just because he is Liverpool manger dosent mean he cant get on and talk to mangers from United and Everton. Rafa didn't get on with Fergie, we all know that but I dont remember Houiller having any problem with him. Im sure Roy didnt just go there on a pi$$ up, there was a reason he was over there.

If we are still playing like this at Xmas i will be on this forum asking for him to be removed just like you are now, that day may come and I will say Ciggy you were right from the start BUT its not Xmas yet and im still willing to give the man a chance

Green light from me for Woy to get on with turning us round. He's got a hell of job and no matter who is in charge in 3 years time - the next 12 months are vital for a variety of reasons.

Go for it Woy.
