I'd like to know how feasible the prospect of redeveloping Anfield actually is?

it depends on which option would allow further development if we wanted to go above 60,000 in the future. There's no point spending 100s of millions if we're going to be stuck at 60,000. Also, it'd be interesting to see what the saving would be to redevelop as opposed to building a new stadium.

New stadium pleease!

Will be hard to move on from Anfield but needs to be done sooner or later.

Having said that, priority is improving the squad. If we buy a stadium we would go through a period of like 3 years with little money to spend just like Arsenal did.

This whole notion that Arsenal have no money to spend is a complete myth. He's brought Arshavin for £16m, Nasri for £11m, Sagna for £10m, Koschelny for £9.5m and Walcott for £12m.

He's had more money available to spend, primarily on a keeper and a holding midfielder but chose not to spend it.

Priority should be a new stadium to build a financially healthy future for the club.

I dont wanna see Anfield get its capacity upped to 60,000.  We need a state of the art new stadium and the area around anfield needs re-development.

One thing to note. If we increase Anfield's capacity by 15k, it's still not enough. Regular seats don't make big bucks. We need more corporate seats to make big money a la Arsenal. We most likely can't provide that at Anfield.

We need 60k seats. 10k of those to be 'corporate' so they can rake in the cash.

I don't see how they can, they may be able to knock down the main stand and build a new one, but that will add a few 1000 at best, the only way to significantly improve would be to re-develop the Anfield Road end too.

I suppose technology has moved on, but there isn't exactly acres of land around the 4 stands currently in place.
They could probably do something but I can't see how they can add an extra 15,000 seats.

The heart says redevelop Anfield, the head says it's time to move on.

At the end of the day, it is not the bricks and mortar which make Anfield special, it is the fans.

A new, state of the art stadium, which should have a specially designed Kop stand as per the designs which came out 3 years ago or so is exactly what LFC needs.

Dundalk is right, people might not like it, but corporate tickets bring in the £££s.

Get the new stadium right, and with the proper facilities it can generate income away from just match days as well.

If the club can find a big name, big money sponsor for it then all well and good also.

As I said, the home end should be a magnificent stand called The Anfield Kop and it is the fans on there, the sound of YNWA being sung, the sight of thousands of scarves being waved that makes the club and the ground so special.

Jeezuz, talk about getting ahead of ourselves.

Club sale not yet done and dusted and when it finally is it'll still be a long long time (if ever) before we see a new stadium courtesy of John Henry, he hasn't got the money , simples. As for redeveloping Anfield, apart from putting in more exec boxes which means fewer actual fans there's not much else that can be done.

Be careful what you wish for.

Now that the new owners are in, the new stadium sorted, I would appreciate English speaking staff with a little bit of initiative to get the jobs in the catering areas , so we can all get served at half time and not just the first 5 to the hatch
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.
