one idea, i dont know whether i saw it before or i am just plain creative.

eg) Google sponsored got the naming rights, so our new stadium will be call "Google@New Anfield"

if KFC got the rights, it will be call KFC@New Anfield.

at least we got to keep part of our name.

Just curious, why bother about new stadium when there's not enough money to reinforce the squad and after a global financial crisis..?

I think its more like do you want a fish or do you want a fishing rod?

stadium=more revenue=better players.
both are important (squad strengthen and stadium expansion), but in the long run, a bigger stadium is vital.

Sell off your best players = half empty stadium.  :nod

More false promises from the two kunts.....Believe it when you see it!

Im not even optomistic anymore cause they have lied so much in the past...does anyone on here even want a new stadium when those two are here?Id rather keep Anfield and wait on them selling to someone decent who actually gives a fuc'k!

It wont be a happy day,the day those two start works on  a new ground(if it ever happens)....that to me would mean we are stuck with them for the long haul! :(

we are close to getting new money from the prince and if that ever ever comes off then it will get built.
one this you all must keep in mind is that our owners live on greed, they need to make money and to make money out of this club they need to build the new stadium.

I dont like the look of it and unless they use lights the grass will never be that good in there due to the roof type, the roof is also flat and this will give poor light during the day.

I could carry on all day picking holes in the plans.

I like it. Looks a bit disjointed in the corners, like they didn't really know how to tie in the four sides - so they didn't bother. But all in all it looks like class stadium. If this EVER happens we'll have one of the finest stadia in the UK - we should be proud, not slagging it off before it's built.

Whats the capacity?

oh right - so realistically then it holds 55k

maybe it's expandable to 73,000 if they fill the side bits in?

the capacity of approximately 55,000 seats, plans were later revised to increase the capacity to 60,000 with the option to expand to 73,000 if necessary.

And from the Purslow interview in the Echo.

“Also positive is the fact that late last year, the bank market was essentially shut. It’s now very much open for business and a number of banks are very interested in financing our new stadium.

“However, a condition of all those banks’ interest is that in the first instance, we have brought new investment into the club.

Haha the yanks are fecked the banks wont lend them anymore money, gerrout you pair of sh!tehawks.

Hicks shoot himself in the foot a few weeks ago with BOA, he had a big bust up with them so i dont think he can even turn to them now....unless he licks their feet.

i think all clubs should be baned from getting bank loans, i also think that clubs should be banned from bying new players if they are not making a profit, this will make big team work harder with young kids and stop them running off to banks every time another team gets money.

according to the Echo tonight investment is on the cards sometime over the next two months, some or all of the club could be sold, also no players will be sold off either.
