Actually no. I would say. I want him out is not because if he is a world known manager or not. This managerial change is suppose to help Liverpool improve but Roy had played the team at a much more defensive style than Rafa. How is that helping us as I don't see any improvement in the quality of play. Of course I judge him by the results but I personally would accept all the defeats or the current records if our played had improved or even if the players are playing their a.sses off. We are not blind and jusst wanted a mangerial change for the sake of changing it. What the team is lacking now is someone to motivate and inspire them. Now with Roy and the players are all saying give them some time and don't expect a quick fix etc. I mean this is not acceptable by any means. They should instead be more confident and come out to say they will turn it around in the next few weeks etc. By putting the blame somewhere is not what they should be doing. Honesetly, with the kind of players that we have, is it too much to expect more from the likes of Gerrard, Torres, Reina, Cole, Miereles, Johnson, Kuyt etc? I know that the players need to take some responsibility themselves but if they can't be arsed about by the manager, then you got to find someone who need to kick their butt and not pamper them. YOu don't need to do it in public but at least give some younger a chance since they would be more hungry rather than playing the obvious. Every system works to some degree but you need to have the right players. He keeps insisting his system is not a problem then he must be dreaming. He needs to realize he cant be a one trick ponny. There is no single system that can beat any team in the world. That's why we need a manager who can adapt and change strategically rather than throwing the same thing over and over again especially his system is not working particularly well. Again, I'm deseparate to look for positive sign on the team or even a slight improvement and please someone tell me what has improved since the take over with 17 official games in the book. If they don't play well, Roy should at least push them to work hard. We just don't see the result and effort and you think we are in no rights in helding the manager to be responsible? Anyway, even if beat Blackpool tonight (hoping sincerely), I won't judge Roy the result but hope to see improvement in any area. I just hope they work hard and show up to play then things might have a chance to turn upward. Otherwise, anyone expecting Roy to turn it around are just kidding themselves.

People may have forgotten GYBS how much you defended Benitez right up to the end like King Canute  trying to stop the tide. So upset were you that if I remember rightly you stopped coming on here?
Now youre back and trying to undermine the manager with your innocent "where is the improvement?" question, when what youre really trying to do is point out that your beloved Rafa "tactical genius", was the victim in all of this, and we, the ones who knew he had lost the plot, were wrong to want him fu'cked off. I agree GYBS, he was a victim. A victim of his own arrogant, stubborn, irrational, confrontational, and borderline insanity, which is why he had to go.
Roy is trying his best, maybe he will succeed, maybe not. But he will do no worse than Benitez would have done. Even if we get relegated.

God this place is nicely poised for the blackpool result. Its probably best we draw for the sake of this place :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

What a bile of ****!

That last sentence...  :no

So even if Roy get us relegated, Rafa would do no better?
7th and relegated isn't even close and the reality is we ended 7th which was the only year we didn't qualify for the Champions league in 6 years, fact!
And the reality Roy is heading us into a relegation fight.

Even after Rafa wins the league with inter and Roy amazingly have us finish 10th you will still try to justify you scewed opionion...

I personally think that as far as the debate about the fans is concerned, it matters not a jot how good or bad Roy is. The simple fact is that in the past Liverpool fans rounding on a manager in his first few matches would have been unheard of.

Perhaps this is what people meant when they said the club should be modernised. I can only say for my own part I don't like it. My guess is they'll hound Roy out of the job before too much longer, and the club will be none the better off for it.

It's a shame and an embarrassment to see, but that's how it is I'm afraid.

Benny The Noon wrote:ROY HODGSON is at breaking point after a damning assessment of his Liverpool team.

The Kop chief has confided in friends that they are SIX players short of challenging at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool go into Sunday's game against Blackpool in the bottom three for the first time since 1984 and pals are concerned Hodgson will not be able to cope with the pressure of transforming the team.

They have noticed a change in Hodgson's usually relaxed manner and fear the pressure of turning Liverpool around is beginning to affect him.

Last season he appeared in complete control after guiding Fulham to the Europa League final and 12th placed in the Premier League.

Hodgson will not quit Liverpool, but fears that any potential new owners are likely to want their own man in charge at Anfield.

The Kop's desperate financial situation prevented Hodgson from making widespread changes to the squad in the summer and fear it's his reputation on the line.

After holding out for the England job following the World Cup, he eventually joined Liverpool when it became clear Fabio Capello would not be fired.

He was initially convinced he could tweak the squad and turn them into a top four team again after succeeding Rafa Benitez.

Instead his conservative methods in training and on the pitch have been met by a brickwall.

The culture at the club is playing attacking football, but Hodgson wants his team to play on the counter.

Hodgson's relationship with Fernando Torres is already strained and the World Cup winner has yet to respond to his new manager.

Impact

Liverpool will attempt to turn their season around at home to Blackpool on Sunday after a dreadful start.

They have won just once in the Premier League this season and Hodgson is struggling to make an impact.

Three of his signings - Paul Konchesky, Christian Poulsen and Raul Meireles - have yet to impress.

Hodgson has privately assessed the Liverpool squad and has conceded they are a long way short of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Many of his influential players are struggling to adapt to his training methods and want Hodgson to be more attack minded to satisfy supporters.

Hodgson has other changes in mind, but fears a backlash from supporters if he drops some of Liverpool's influential stars.

A close friend said: "We're worried about Roy, he's not the same person.

"Last year he thrived as the underdog, but he doesn't like criticism and doesn't enjoy people questioning his methods.

"It's too early to say he regrets taking the job, but it's dawning on him just how big it is. He's not a quitter, he's carry on."

Six players? Which positions? So Konchesky, Carragher, Skyrtel, Poulsen, Meireles and Cole aren't good enough? Who signed three of these players? Jovanovic who completed that deal? If Torres, Johnson, Kuyt and Gerrard aren't good enough why pick them? If he thinks he can do better than Reina good luck to him.

I think he's out of his depth quite honestly. He was good in west London with a club that had lower expectations who enjoyed getting into Europe reaching a final. At a big club he just can't handle or work well with the big players. For sure Babel and Lucas aren't LFC players but they're not regulars.  It's not about the players it's about manager and his tactics.

I think O'Neill or someone from abroad will be in charge of LFC by 2011. Roy's not the man and never was.

Nobody knows for sure how we would have faired with Benitez still in charge. The Inter situation has absolutely fu'ck all to do with our situation. He fu'cked up royally here and landed on his feet by taking over from Mourhino. Inters position is toatlly irrelevant to ours.
The fallout from Benitez is there for everyone to see. Hopefully Hodgson will turn it around but from what Im seeing its more difficult than he, and many thought.
