ROY HODGSON - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

oh dear... that interview with Roy is really bad.  The pressure is piling and he just aint up to it.  He is cracking up already.
His man management is worse than Rafa's.  He constantly blames the players in public.

And he thinks Fulham players are better than us.  :D
Wake up Roy... this is not Malmo mate.

Kukilon wrote:Whats up with all of this :censored: about 6 games? He has had over 15 games and it still looks like this. The next to games will be vital. I'm fairly certain that we will win this one but who knows about Everton.

This may be a blessing in disguise because it lowers the possibility for Hicks to raise money to buy us out.

Totally agreed. I had been saying that too. But unfortunately people will just ignore this and continue to say "It's only fecking 6 games". I mean, being supportive and optimistic is one thing but ignoring the truth just doesn't help.

WIth Roy recent statement, it even worries me as all in his book is the one and only defensive system he knows and nothing else. Just a note that modern football had changed and he couldn't even realizes not all players are suitable to play in this particular system. He is just a one trick ponny and we as fans should be worried as he had openly admitted this.  Not trying to be pessimestic about the next few games but with his comment, he will stick by his gun and not make any changes to prove his point and which is exactly going to cost us the season mate. I'm really praying we will win tonight. I don't care if i'm wrong but just doesn't look good.

the need for a change was becoming evident...but appointing roy hasnt looked the best of decisions SO FAR. will still support him as long as he is sitting in the hotseat but he needs to sort it. and quick.

If people don't stop saying "6 games this, 6 games that" I'm going to go fucking mental. He hasn't had JUST 6 games, today is his 17th game in charge.

A few friendlies, Carling Cup, Europa League, and league games make it his 17th game today. He's been in charge for all of them. So saying we need to give him longer than six games is starting to get annoying now, he's had much longer. I don't care how important each game was in it's own context, he's still had plenty of time to figure out who plays where and what their strengths are.

He's been banging on this week about having 35 years experience, so don't give me how he needs more than "6 games" to start to get things right. Are you telling me he didn't know the strengths of Torres, Gerrard, Reina, Carragher, Kuyt, before he got here? He's had plenty of time to work out who should be doing what, and we should be getting it right now, not be worrying about Blackpool at home.

you go as mental as you like, as soon as we do, we get carded. The fat waiter f*cked us up and hes gone, live in the now.

The blindness of people not seeing how we were messed about last season and how he threw what little money we had away is unbelievable

True, just feels like only half of us WANT him to do well, everyone else is resigned already to mediocrity

See you keep bringing him up then tell people to go and live in Italy.

Stop bringing Rafa up all the while.

some posters need their heads checked. hypothetically, IF they get their wish and Roy is sacked after 2 games or halfway through the season, who shall replace him? Kenny? and what if Kenny has a similar record and is unable to stop the rut? do we sack him or do we hang on to him because its "Kenny the greatest ever Liverpool player" ? what im seeing here is, that Roy is getting unjust criticism due to the fact that he isn't a big name manager or because he wasnt a legend at our club. hence the lack of faith, and the impatience.

if we win we need to build on it. If we lose lets stick with him eh and hope we can get higher than 16th in the league table.

Some of us can see the poor manager we have and some are trying the whole I'm a true fan thing, why agonise what's so obvious. Admit we have the wrong man and move on
