Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

To be fair to rocky, he gets abuse on here for constantly stating the same thing but he is calling it right for me.
There isnt any excuse for not bringing in another striker. He had money and brought in plenty of players but waited until the last minute to try and get a striker in.
Even the people that defend Roy the most must admit the Poulsen money is looking like it could have been spent on a striker.

What i don't understand about Roy is why is he such a coward? I mean he got the team in an excellent position ,from a manger perspective ,The team was playing oweful defensive football ,the Owners get all the negative attention from the Fans and Media ,no one expects the team to fight for a title - he has so little to lose - then why o why he playes like a total coward why are sitting so back why the distance between our attackers and Midfield is that big? I don't know Roy and maybe he can't think differently but you got your chance of a lifetime try doing something with it ,if you fail then no one will blame you. This team is domininated by Cowards at the moment ,coward tactics from the manager ,and Coward players not willing to take responsibilty.

Roy should just stop tinkering with the side now and try to put out our strongest 11 out in most games.. Get the team playing with each other for a sustained period and get them to try and understand whats asked of them... Sure as fck cant help when we change 6 players every game...

One more thing, if the players dont start moving off the ball sometime soon i think ill shoot myself... Even Torres (one of few who did so until recent times) has been reluctant to make the run to receive the ball in recent games.. Everything about the side is just too static and dull and Roy needs to address that  as soon as possible..

Agree totally about the movement.

Cole and Mereiles last night had shots from outside the area that trickled into the keepers arms and my mate was moaning about them wasting posession.
I said to him, what other options did they have ?
Nobody made any runs at all for them so the shot or a backwards pass were the only options.

Thankfully we are out of the mickey mouse cup, the FA cup is worth little and this Euro loser thing is pointless.

Just play the best 11 every league game, none of the other games matter.

Yeh right because we only fitting champion league level and fighting for the premiership.....Wake up - Those competitions are our only chance for success ,and we need success in any shape or form to build on for next year. The humiliation on the "Mickey Mouse" cup only knocked our confidence. Let's fight for everything we can fight for. That's Liverpool FC 2010/11.

Agreed. Time and again the ball seems to be fed to a player who's standing still, and in the case of Torres it's usually with at least one oppo player right up his ar'se .
Unfortunately when a player does attempt a run or make a pass of any invention no one in the team seems capable of anticipating it.

I cringe when I see one of Lucas and Poulsen on the team sheet.

And then we have both of them in most games... :no
...... ahead of Meireles  :no

Take away Gerrard, Torres, Reina and perhaps cole and the rest wouldn't get into Fulhams 1st 11 right now.

To many players that:

a) have the 1st touch of a rapist
b) are slow as ****
c) are too old
d) no creativity and no dribbling skills, heck no skill at all...

A team like Bolton should aim for the type of players we have, lots of industry, not LFC.

But then again Poulsen, Lucas and Maxi would be hard pressed getting into that team....

People keep going on about how bad we was last season but we scored 25 goals in our first 10 games.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

We put 4 past Stoke and Burnley and six past Hull, and after 7 games had scored 22 goals with 15points from 21.
Roy won once away from home 1-0 against Portsmouth finished 12th lowest scorers in the league......point being he shouldnt be anywhere near the Liverpool job.
