Good for him.

He is only a smug little gimp anyway.

Lets wait and see whether he is right or not.
They always try and wind Tommo up.

Former Blackburn midfielder Lars Bohinen has questioned Roy Hodgson's suitability to managing Liverpool.

The pair worked together when the 63-year-old was manager at Ewood Park in the 1997-98 campaign but Bohinen, 41, has spoken out by claiming that his former mentor's style of play since moving to Anfield as pressure grows following a difficult start to the new season.

Whilst the ex-Norway international acknowledges that Hodgson is the best coach he ever worked under, he feels that his approach is better suited to a club who are accustomed to grinding out results rather than at Liverpool, where success is something of a requirement.

"There is no element of surprise to Liverpool's current style of play," he told TV2.

"It's all about passing the ball, but without any clear idea behind it. Players such as Gerrard and Torres are unable to shine in this formation and Roy Hodgson is the one to blame for this.

"I've worked under him in the past and he's the best coach I've ever had. However, he focuses too much on the defensive structure of a team.
"He doesn't really have a clear philosophy when it comes to attacking football. He used a similar style of play at Blackburn Rovers, Inter and Fulham.

"Hodgson is the right man for a club that wants to defend a certain result, but I'm not sure whether he's the right man for Liverpool.

"His preferred tactics suit a club like Fulham, but he's not much into attacking football and creative players. I expect [Steven] Gerrard and [Fernando] Torres to continue suffering under Hodgson."

A solitary win against West Brom stands out amongst two draws and two defeats in the Reds' opening five league games ahead of tomorrow's visit of Sunderland and Bohinen believes that Hodgson's players have to shoulder some of the blame along with their new manager.

He added: "To begin with, Liverpool's squad is simply not good enough at the moment. The spine of the team lacks the class and leadership qualities to compete with the big teams.

"Pepe Reina is a class shot stopper, but Jamie Carragher and Martin Skrtel are no leaders at the back. Steven Gerrard is the natural leader of the team, but he has been struggling to find his best form. Fernando Torres is a good player, but no leader.

"Additionally, Liverpool have done a poor job in the transfer market. Milan Jovanovic is not good enough in the one-on-ones and turns inward way too often.

"Christian Poulsen's action radius is too low and he hardly passes forward. Then Paul Konchesky is very vulnerable at the back. Raul Meireles is a good player, but he needs time to settle in."

I was just watching a replay of when O'Shea pulled Torres down. It was a nice little slipped through pass from Mereiles which Torres was running onto. The little reverse ball which was knocked into Mereiles only travelled 15 yards, but it went against the flow of the play, hit with the outside of the right foot. It flicked open a snapshot of opportunity for Mereiles, delivered as it was just at the moment he had the space to make something happen.

It takes ability to do that, appreciation for the game and what's hppening around you. Christian Poulsen made the pass, he does lots of them. They aren't five yard square rolls into a player who's in no better a position than he is, they are perceptive little nudges and prods which alter the passage of play.

He's a good player. He's much better at playing football than most people who post on here are at spotting footballers. In the end though they'll see it as well because it'll become even more obvious than it already is.

He said the protests arnt helping, but there hasnt been no protests since he arrived. It was the "That group of people" that has got peoples backs up, they are Liverpool fans not a group of people. Its not just SOS that are doing things now other splinter groups have popped up but they all MUST work together as they all only want one thing. Divide and conquer is not the way forward.

SOS released a statement yesterday and backed him, if the yanks are gone he will be helped in the transfer window if we got someone in with money.

Whos back is up? What group of people are offended by his remarks? Not all of us. So it must be some: a group.
See what I did there. Why are SOS getting so ar'sey about the managers description of them? They are a group of people, others have joined to make the group bigger, but theyre still a group. There will be people there at Anfield today who will be vehemenly against ANY type of protest. Arent they a group? There will be many who are not in the slightest bit ar'sed for one reason or another. Arent they a group?
Seriously if SOS are going to take umbrage at this they need to sort their heads out. Are they so sensitive that an off the cuff remark makes their blood boil. Get a grip please. Roy is not the enemy. Keep your anger and indignation for those who deserve it

F*ckng hell Mick, your gonna judge him on one pass? Rememebr when posters used to go on and on about one pass Lucas played to Gerrard a couple of years back even when it was all he did in an attacking sense for about 8 months? I get your trying to look for the postives and for one he is composed on the ball but his total lack of pace is a real liability for me, it was in Spain and The Premier League is even more frenetic than La Liga. I think there will be games where he will be a good option but if you are up against a quality counter attacking side like the Mancs, Chelsea or Arsenal your going to end up with situatons like last week where the side have to sit so deep even when attacking so hes not exposed if we concede possession

Have you witnessed anything different?

I think its spot on with his assement of Roys tactics.

At the start of the season I would probably accepted a defeat at Man U and Man City, I would have thought a drawer was realistic at Birmingham when you look at their home results, I would have hoped for a win at West Brom and a win at home to Arsenal but would have accepted a draw.

Our results are not that bad

We have to win the next couple of games, not because of the amount of points on the board currently but because we SHOULD be winning those games.

The only disaster so far this season has been the fixture list, let's not get carried away just yeet.  We get called the best supporters in the world, if I'm honest I don't think we have been this season, most have been a disgrace.  Maybe that's because I am older than most, but the real supporters won't be asking for Roys head, and won't be coming out with the line "I'll back him because he is our manager, but..."

No buts, no maybe's, let's support our club, our players and right now, most importantly our manager.

YNWA
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
