The disturbing thing about this statement will be the amount of people on here nodding their heads agreeing with it.

Newsflash: He IS the Liverpool manager.

Do you think if he was a fat spanish waiter they would like him?

NO. Prefer Matre de meself :;):

This is key for me and has bugged me all week. I know when asked the question he only has a split second to think about the answer but imo Roy needs to find the right balance of not creating unnecessary conflict but standing firm. and not be so nice to that red nosed c_unt!

Im disappointed too. But what Ive seen of Roy its not his style. Maybe he will learn to change his style and point out that the skanks are full of cheats?

I had no idea Fergie made those accusations. Did he really think Torres dived at the penalty? Ridiculous. He needs to have a closer look at one of his own player, Nani. Cheating, play acting :censored:. Yes, Roy should have defended his player. Pretty spineless of him not to do so. And having reasons in the past to like Fergie, I've gone right off that :censored:.

I've heard Roy praise the fans on at least a couple of occasions this season and that's after the Arsenal game and I think after one of the Europa away games he praised the fans' commitment to travel that far to watch us play.

Also, I'm still to be convinced that Roy was actually referring to the planned protest in that Mirror article. They inserted (the protest) themselves but if you were to substitute "the ownership situation" (the subject he addresses from the beginning) it appears to make a lot more sense. For instance he refers to the "period the club is in" and that it "tests our mettle, strength, and desire". He also says he's had to "..live with it since I came here." - well he hasn't had to live with any protests such as the one planned for tomorrow since he came here, whereas the ownership situation has persisted.

Im dissapointed as well with the media side but I do think we should be able to criticise him without people thinking there is an ulterior motive of wanting him sacked.

For the record I am pro Rafa but he has gone so Im now pro Roy and hopeful that he will get us a top four, and I do genuinely think that if he turns it round and the players respond then we have the team to achieve top four

God bless your optimism mate...
Never mind the pathetic half-ar$ed disgrace the other night....even the "first teamers" have been an embarrassment this season, and don't deserve CL football next season. An absolute disgrace to the jersey, some of them...

I can definitely sympathise with your views and I try to remain optimistic but do have my dark moments.  But I also have the faith in the players and the fans to pull through these difficult times and for Roy to take the moment as it will realistically be his last pop at the big time and he surely wont want to be remembered as a failure.

My gut feeling is that something will break soon whether its the scenario where we have a disatorous season or the scenario where it clicks into place and we get top four.  And its the latter I choose purely from my faith in the talent and passion that we have

It all bears an uncanny resemblance so far to when Venables took over at Leeds in 2002 from O'Leary and they struggled with a decent squad and he was sacked in March. I would seriously doubt Hodgson surviving until May if we don't win either game against Sunderland and Blackpool. If it's only one win going into October I think this season will be 9th/10th at best. O'Neill's odds must be shortening with every lack of PL victory for Hodgson.
