Good start from him , was quiet in first half but came into it a bit more in second half , hopefully injury isn't too bad - more games like that and I will be happy to say I was wrong about him - got to carry on that performance now . Certainly played better than the other full back - just needs to close down the crosses a bit quicker .
Really good today, some of his crosses was fantastic, and he was solid defensively. If he turns out to be anything like Finnan or better, I don't think anyone will complain here
FFS. Amazing how so many change their mind set after one performance. A case of jumping on the band wagon. Roys buy, fulham etc. Not good enough for liverpool.
Just so annoying that there are so many on here that dont really know much about other clubs players and assume they are all . Hilarious to see some posters changing their opinions so quickly.
BTW, a solid performance from paul, not surprised in the least. Much much better than Insua. My main concern at the back is the terrible form of Cafu, sorry Johnson. Absolute . Id have Kelly in before him. Shows more desire, commitment, defensively better already. Maybe push johnson ahead in Maxi's place whilst Kuyt is out.
good debut and exactly what i expected from him.. no more and no less... Hopefully we get someone like Cole playing down the left flank instead of Jova and maybe Konchesky would have a little more roon down the flank to put better balls into the box...
Good stuff anyways and hopefully he's not injured..
I wouldn't go the length and say he had a good game ,the whole team was shocking and he fit right in maybe not one of the worst. He had some nice passes but i thought his defence was a bit shakey. I would say Passing grade but no more. The only concern is that he is a Pass player won't see much more then that.
Good solid debut by the fella. He's no Patrick Evra but keeps it nice and simple and has always been a consistent player. I have no doubts we will see this week in week out from him.
His performance Today against the Mancs and his chief tormentor Nani was unbelievably inept, he was continually beaten for pace and his positioning also left a lot to be desired ... is it to much to expect a defender to stay in position and perhaps someone albeit from the manager (because Roy seems to spend most of his coaching time with his head in his hands ) should explain that when defending a post it helps your cause considerably if your within spitting distance of the fucking thing ..... I thought after Johnsons performance against Birmingham that this would easily prove to be the worst defensive performance we would see this season ..... well it seems Mr Konchesky has put forward an equally strong case .....

Nani is cheating but he tore Konch another hole today no doubt about it. End of day we knew what we where getting with him, the lads a journeyman full back with bags of experience but far from the top draw. He will do a decent job against most sides but will be blowing out of his against the better teams.
