Latest rumour is he is flying out to Barce tonight and has already agreed terms with them and just needs Liverpool to accept a deal with Barce

Exactly, how the f**k does that work?? The club hasn't accepted the bid and hes agreed personal terms? To top it of he wants to fly to Spain to tie up a deal when A. We have a match tonight and B. The current bid offered by Barca is NOWHERE NEAR the correct valuation of the player?? Im starting to think his agent needs to be on the business end of the back of my hand. Skysports.com understands there are fresh doubts surrounding Javier Mascherano's future at Liverpool amid reports he has refused to play against Manchester City.

Mascherano has expressed a wish to leave Anfield before the close of the transfer window for personal reasons and has been linked with Barcelona and Inter Milan.

New Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is hoping to hold on to the midfielder, but has stressed the club will not sell the 26-year-old on the cheap.

Hodgson stated last week that the Reds had not received any offers for the Argentina international, but reports now claim Barcelona have made a bid.

It is understood that Barca's offer has been rejected and that has led to claims that Mascherano will not feature against City on Monday night as a result.

The former West Ham man started Liverpool's opening 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal, but missed the Europa League tie through Trabzonspor through injury.

His place in the team to take on potential title rivals City is likely to be taken by Lucas, who filled in for Mascherano against Trabzonspor.

I'd rather we risk taking a hit next summer or risk losing him on a free in two years time than sell him for a derisory £12m plus Hleb. As a minumum we should expect to see £20M plus Hleb, or £25m straight up. He's worth it.

Its all over SSN now, this has royally jarred me off, £12m is an absolute joke if we accept that its the worst piece of business since Owen pulled his shananigans to go to Madrid on the cheap. Let Inter come in and bid against them to drive the price up. I hope he gets taken out in his 1st game for his new club. Treacherous c**t. A week ago he was saying he fully understood the clubs position to find the right bidder, now hes refusing to play and dealing with other teams? Caceres is a good defender but far to slow for the Premier League, him and Carra together we'd be holding the defensive line on the penalty spot ffs. Hleb has done NOTHING since leaving Arsenal, yet another player who couldn't reach the same heights he did under Arsene Wenger.

Guess will come down to how much money the club need - 12 mil is a joke offer but I bet it's close to what he will go for - we are in such a weak bargaining position because of our financial situation .
