aiv been very happy with what roy has been doing... but i definetly think for 6 million, and coming 31, its bad business, it looks like we are gona have lucas playing regulary, which is even more worrying... why doesnt roy, dig the heels in like wenger did with fabrigas??? keep mash, then wel have a excellant chance of doing well this season...

also, as a danish midfielder at liverpool, if he hasn't developed a broad scouse accent by january then flog him.

The reason why he cant dig his heels in is because he needs the funds from the sale of masher to be able to buy a striker .

there was a supposed 15 mil budget this summer plus money from sales generated - IMO its bollo.cks and only money for Hodgson to spend is money earnt from player sales

It seems to me Roy is trying to play it safe in all aspects for the upcomming season. By this I mean he isnt using the small amount of cash we've got on younger players who are not as proven in football world such a Poulsen, on top of that although its only early he hasnt really changed the squad around that much in terms of formations. In my opinion I think Roy's looking to play it safe this season and avoid any unecessary 'gambles' setting us up for a fairly average season with perhaps a slight improvement.

He hasn't even signed yet. I heard the deal is in trouble cos Mascherano hasn't left yet.

It seems to me like we're trying to sell one very good player to fund 2 decent players. Like Benny said... it looks like we have no summer budget at all.

So far we've only bought two young players and gotten 2 players on the free. Most of our money has gone on changing manager.

2009/10 (all competitions)

Masherano: 39 appearances -11 yellow cards - 2 red cards

2008/09 (all competitions)

Poulson: 24 appearances - 3 yellow cards - 0 red cards
