For that to be true he would have signed a new contract.

Surely for him to sign a new contract he would have to be offered one .

Considering his is up in less than 12 months common sense tells me he has been offered one as no club wants to risk losing any player for nothing.

Well not heard of any contract offer so as far as anyone is aware he hasn't turned one down and the club may well now offer him one but i could see him now turning one down after the club tried to sell him

Well, Fiorentina for me is a CL/Europa league team and I am pretty sure he wasn't offered peanuts. And if now wanted to leave so why not accept?

Who knows exactly why he turned it down - he may want to stay with us and would hope to be offered a new contract or he may want to wait until his contract ends and then his options will be greater .

If it's true he only has a year left on his deal then it's all the more deflating that the move to Fiorentina difn't go through. Five million quid for him with only a year to go would have been miracle money.

Lads, its all about money, Insua wanted more money than Florentina were willing to pay.

How can a club offer £5m for an ordinary LB and then not offer enough wages?!?!?! Doesn't make sense, unless he's on ridiculous wages here which I'd find hard to believe - especially if he is near the end of his contract.

Let them pay the final million in instalments so they can up their offer

While i didn't necessarily think it was a great idea to sell him at the time i'm actually quite gutted this has fallen through now. I've got my fingers crossed Aurelio can get himself fit and stay fit in 2010-11.

Warnock? U gotta be kidding me!
Sadly there are so many these days who think football starts and ends in England and as long as a player is English, he is quality.

I was in SA and saw Terry and Barry disgraced by young German players who were to a man, technically light years ahead of any England player on sight.

Warnock is such a poor player, its hard to find any redeeming quality about him...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Warnock was English, but was he or was he not better than Insua? The point people are trying to make re Warnock is we should have kept him, not JUST because he is English, but because we've hardly been blessed with a far superior LB - Riise, Traore, Dossena, Aurelio, Insua, Arbeloa (when played LB) to name some LBs that hardly make Warnock look terrible

And selling Warnock for £1.5m was laughable compared to some of the fees players go for.

So the question was and still is, was Warnock good enough, not was he English enough. And your suggestion he is that poor is just laughable. :no
