He has had a chat with him about his future and Torres told him that Liverpool as a club are fucked and have no money, that he wants to win stuff so he is going to Chelsea. I cant fully understand where he coming from but if it is true that he is no only staying with us because Chelsea couldn't cough up enough cash, then it kinds makes me feels like the fat ugly girl at the end of the night who is taken home by a guy who couldn't get anyone else all night despite his best efforts.
Booby prize!

Thats the part that annoys me
If this is true then Torres had his mind made up that he was going to Chelsea
Or because Nando is disappointed with the lack of world class players he was hoping for and openly talked about.

I can't see us pushing for the league and getting into the top 4 is going to be a tough target too, especially with the names we have been linked with recently. It all comes down to the sale of the club, get in some proper owners who can bring in world class players or we lose him.

I said at the time and it predictably kicked off in the aftermath, if you don't finish in the Champions League places you run the risk of losing your best players. If it wasn't for the financial demise of Portsmouth, we wouldn't even have made the Europa League Cup such was the debacle that was last season, so it's not surprising he was getting itchy feet really.
I know it's controversial to say it, and I have nothing but hunch value to base it on, but Torres along with Gerrard are on my list of players who would have agitated even further for a move if we hadn't changed the manager.

Quite right! We need to get the sale of the club. But to be honest no club is spending that much money. So if we did get owners only us and Man City would be spending. And whilst Villa thinks Barcelona is all fine and dandy he should enjoy not getting payed.

Villa is probably surprised because his own little move to Barca worked out when for god knows how long he's been linked with Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge.
Is he actually saying something new about Torres that if Liverpool don't finish fourth and/or win a trophy that Torres will move on?
So what is my reaction. The world won't end if Torres does leave Liverpool in the next twelve months. You don't keep unhappy players however good they are. The club will still be there you just move on to the next players who want to wear the red shirt end of.

listen were taking a massive risk with him by keeping him. Because with him staying. Roy will keep faith with ngog and possibly buy a 30 something striker from norway as backup. Now nando will prob miss first two games. Then if he has an injury plagued season where does that leave us?
